Before there were so many Guitar Hero game spin-off's came along around and after 2006. There was anothor Rytham game which was a classic to most gamers who've played it on the Playstation 2 which was Gitaroo Man. Koei's masterpiece and with an outstanding soundtrack. Gitroo Man finally makes it's way on the PSP.

If you''ve played it on the PS2 before it's the same story where U-1 is trying to impress Pico, his dog Puma tells U-1 that he's ancestors were the legendary gaurdian of the Gitaroo. So U-1 goes to a far away planet with Puma and save the planet from Zowie who is the ruler of the planet and summons his guardians to stop U-1 from getting his way.

Gameplay: For the PSP your just using the left analog stick to follow the green line and press circle to follow the notes if you stay on the Green Line. During each song you've got Charge where you can restore your health which will come in handy because if you don't your opponent will strike you down. Then there's Attack where like I said you have to use the left analog stick and press circle to follow the music notes, if your opponent will attack as well but you can dodge the attacks by following the buttons on the screen. So it has a mix other Rytham games like PaRappa the Rapper, Guitar Hero and Dancing Stage. There's Final where you'll be able to finish off your opponent but don't mess it up.

Graphics and Sound: If you owned Gitaroo Man on the PS2 the graphics for the PSP version look the same but has a few less visuals then the PS2 version had. It still has the same levels from the PS2 version and the same CGI cutscenes as well. Music for Gitaroo Man Lives most of the tracks are the same but the second Level "Followin your Heart" is in English you've might have noticed this if you own Gitaroo Man for the PS2 "Followin your Heart" was in Japanese which I prefer but thats just me complaining. There are however two new tracks in Gitaroo Man Lives for the PSP which are Metal Header and Fatel Passion.

Overall: This is a great game for those who missed out on the Playstation 2 version, but the difficultly is a little easier from the PS2 version. You can play multiplayer Gitaroo Man Lives with a friend who owns the game as well. There Battle where you can play against each other and there is also Duet mode where you can combine your music skills and work as a team. If you like good music and addictive gameplay you should really check this game out.
