The game was released like 2 years ago and it was only until last week that I finally decided to try it. (The cover actually looked fun, so I acquired a copy).

I'm a freak for action, war and racing games. Games that will make my adrenalin rush. And games that just look "cute" do not usually appeal to me. But it was one boring afternoon that I decided to try something unusual … and that was ... Gitaroo Man Lives.

I was first struck with the music - It was serious music I tell you! It is far from "cute".

The key strokes/combos - you have to be fast, feel the vibe & music to finally get it.

Then the battle concept - Just like in usual battle modes … your life decreases every time you miss or make a mistake as against your opponent.

Then the variation as you progress to the next levels - Each battle has a different concept from the other. Each level requires you to complete the stage or fight using your guitar but, each level has a different story to tell. For example, battling it off to fight invading aliens, outrun a flying shark, defeat a rival guitarist or simply strum a beautiful love song for a girl.

Each level is simply entertaining, and not to mention the adrenalin rush you look for in a game? It's there!

Though I would hate to admit it, the game's pretty hard. I mean, I've played a lot of games but I think I kinda underestimated this one. Don't be fooled with the "cute" & childlike graphics because really, before you get on to the next level, you must at least retry one level for several times until you get the beat right. Or I may be a bit rusty (which I doubt).
