I do put a lot of emphasis on games campaigns and this campaign was extremely boring. I thought it was excellent I could have a few friends join and play with me on my campaign on a hard difficulty but the campaign was so dry. I enjoyed the originally Gears of War and thought the campaign was very good with a good story and wasn't very repetitive because of the variety of the characters and enemies become more difficult as the game goes along. I purchased Gears 3 when it came out and started playing the campaign and I found the more that I played it the more of a chore the game was becoming. You would kill a horde and then walk about 25 meters and boom another horde just over and over again... I feel that they threw all of these together until the last chapter. If you are into graphics and just killing wave after wave of enemies then this is for you, but if you are into good single player games such as the walking dead or metal gear solid then let this one go.
The multiplayer has a couple game modes that are very fun. Horde is excellent and I find that very great when you play with friends instead of other people that drop out. The versus is also surprisingly good because I did not enjoy it the years prior. So I will give this game a six only because the multiplayer is so fun.
If you are Gears fan, or not, you will love this game. It's full of content and easter eggs waiting for you to find, the campaign is expertly paced, and much less linear than Gears 2, you could easily sink 15 hours or mo... Read Full Review
