Same old stuff, with even less variety and entertainment than RomeTW which was released 7yrs ago.
Shogun 2 looks good, better than the predecessors, but thats the only improvement from Rome Total war on. Monks, geishas, agents, traits, general experience: all matters almost none, and the game is shallow. While you ta... Read Full Review

Great streamlining of Total War series. Doubles as turn-based strategy, with better diplomacy than before.
I bought it after disappointment of Empire and very long time spent on Medieval Total War 2. No disappointment. Had a lot of fun in purely turn-based mode. Actually more than with Civilization V. Best sequel I have... Read Full Review

New experience grew on me . . .
First of all, this is the first Total War game I've had an experience with. I also haven't played many TBS games, I am more of a RTS player, i.e. SCII. Quick Impressions •Learning curve is manageable eventually (alt... Read Full Review

Not as good as it was reviewed to be
For only the second or third time, I find myself unable to agree with most reviewers on a game. To be fair, I never played the others in the series, and for those that have, this may very well be worth a higher rating. ... Read Full Review

With a solid campaign and fantastic multiplayer, Shogun 2 is one of the best in the Total War series.
Few game designers ever get it right when they try to streamline their games, but Creative Assembly can now claim the title. Everything about the game is much more user-friendly and easier to jump straight into than any ... Read Full Review

A surprisingly unenjoyable strategy game
After playing a few multiplayer games and getting a campaign well under way, I find myself unable to load this game up again. I just dread it. I want to play it because I want to get my money's worth and because I want... Read Full Review

As much as I love the game, broken AI and practically non-existent multiplayer destroyed this game.
Single player is great! Except for broken AI, which is most noticeable during sieges. The promised multiplayer is freaking awesome, except they don't even work! Great art, great music, great gameplay. Lots of details ... Read Full Review
