The Immobilize glitch
Reduce your party members to two people. Have one charecter cast Faith on himself and distance yourself from the other. Now cast Immobilize on the character you don't want and go on until you encounter a monster, when you do switch your party leader to the immobilized one, switch back and all enemies will be gone.

Unlockable Fishing Spots
Once the Fishing mini-game began, you can only fish in the Lower Reaches fishing spot. However, you can unlock more fishing spots when get to certain requirements.

Earliest possible Masamune without fighting Gilgamesh.
Do all events leading up to the Phon Coast and make 100% sure you do not progress and leave Phon Coast (ie. the Northeastern ???? exit, avoid it). Complete the Antlion mark, and go to the Hunter's Camp in Phon Coast. Grab the site 11 key next to the guy sitting on the ground in the northwestern area. Teleport to Lhusu mines, and open the gate with the key leading to the deepest parts of the mine. You should receive no cutscene for either Gilgamesh battle due to the trigger is placed somewhere after leaving Phon Coast. Run inside, grab your free super early Magepower Shishak, Glimmering Robes, and other gear. At the end you will recieve the Scathe spell early in the save room, as well as entering the final room will not trigger a Gilgamesh battle, and the Masamune is in the back of the room, free for the taking.
