This is my favorite game. Ever. Period.
I just can't tell how many times I've played since my father gave it to me in 1996 but it was love at first sight – from the big box with beveled letters to the intro music by The Gone Jackals, to the style of the game, the ambience, the concept, but specially because it was subtitled in Portuguese. It was a huge deal at the time! Not many video games were subtitled and, by the time, I did not understand a word in English... so with the subtitles, I was able to enjoy Full Throttle as much as anyone around the world.
Game play is pretty simple – just point and click. The puzzles may be a bit tricky, but as you get more items, things start to be a lot more clear, and you can figure out what to do. I believe one of the best parts of the game are the fights on the road, while riding your bike, punching, kicking, using chains, planks, chainsaws kinda like a Road Rash game – it is easy to handle the bike and kick some ass at the same time.
The story is great, very immersive. I believe Full Throttle is the best adventure game of the golden age of adventure games (alongside Grim Fandango), and if there are kids today who can find this exceptional game, I totally recommend them to play it, and get their hands on a REAL, visceral adventure.
