To tell you the truth I don't know why Frogger is fun but it is. Anyway Frogger is an old arcade game originally made in 1981. This remake has updated graphics and online multiplayer. All for the bargain price of $5 or 400 microsoft gamerpoints.

The graphics of Frogger look a lot better then they did on the original and I mean a lot. You can actually tell that it is water in the river, rather than a black abyss. Though if you prefer the old original graphics you can switch to them.

Now to the sounds of Frogger of which the original music is missing, but there is new music to replace it, but its just to cherry and annoying. Whenever you score it seems to play a "He's a Jolly Good Fellow" or "Bingo ." I really don't care for it. On original settings the music sounds similar to the original, but isn't the same. On enhanced the music sounds more polished.

Frogger should be worth the buy at $5. Most people should get a little enjoyment out of it and you should be able to get at least a 100 or so achievement points out of it. The online multiplayer is fun, and often frustrating. Leaderboards may intice you to play more and beat friends scores and such.

Frogger is a simple game to understand you just have to jump across a street avoiding vehicles. Then proceed to the river and jump on turtles and logs to cross and finally reach a little hut. Filling up all five huts will advance you to the next stage and it will get a little tougher with the progression of each stage. Things you'll have to watch out for are alligators, snakes, and otters in later stages. Otters can eat you if you're on the edge of a group of turtles or log. While snakes travel across a log and sidewalk and will eat you if you're in front of their mouth. Alligators you can jump on but if you're on their mouth it may close and then eat you. Also alligators may pop out some huts and eat you if you jump in that particular hut. bugs also appear in huts and will boost your score a bit if you jump in when one of those are present. You may also save lady frogs which are purple frogs that jump on a log here and there that you may jump on then jump on the frog and make it a hut and recieve a bonus for that too. Simple concept, but it is very difficult and frustrating, so if you have anger problems I wouldn't reccomend this game to you.

The multiplayer can be played splitscreen or online. There are a few modes, like coop or vs. In coop your scores will be combined into one. In vs you'll be playing to see whoever gets a higher score. The online multiplayer almost always lags, in fact I've never had a game that didn't lag. The lag makes this already frustrating game even more frustrating.

Frogger would be an excellent choice for almost anyone to add to their Xbox Live Arcade collection. Its fun, with some challenge. It may have you yelling at the TV screen "Thats bull**** that car did not hit me", or something along those lines. I know I have. Anyway being the classic game Frogger is alone makes it worth the five bucks.
