I have played this game through several times and still love it. It has a perfect balance of gameplay, visuals (still good even now), enveloping sound and a very epic and memorable storyline.

Any fan would want the sequel but as it stands now, sometimes you just can't make a sequel to something you've made to perfection. An update to the series would be a dream for many people and hopefully the people that will work on it will not botch it up, a lot of people would depend on them and the results they bring.

Freespace 2 is probably my favourite game ever.
