User Rating: 8.7 | Freedom Fighters PS2
When it comes right down to it, this game is FUN. The game actually reminds me a lot of the 1st Syphon Filter. I love the kind of games where you try to sneak around and find crevices to shoot people. In the game you first start off as a lone warrior. As you help people you start gaining a lot of credibility and they start to help you. It's quiet neat actually because you have a group of freedom fighters following you around that you can give commands too. For example: defend an area or attack a certain person. When I frist heard about this feature I thought it might be difficult to control 12 people. However the creaters did a really good job at making it nice and easy, and on top of that the AI is preety well done. The graphics are preety well done, but what shines is the music! Whoever composed the music did a fantastic job. When I'm playing and the music starts beating harder, it just motivates me more and more. I would have given this game a much higher score, but I think one of the things the game could have used was a bit more interactivness with the environment. You run around but can only go in places that are open. It would have been nice if you could open doors or move objects around. Your character can climb up onto a multitude of objects which is really nice. Anyways, like I said, the game is simply just a lot of fun to play and if you still haven't had the chance to try it out do yourself the favor. The game is preety cheap now, so there's no excuse.
