Personally i dont think this game will be as a hit like cod4, and with treyarch at the helm its going be a different game all together. So with this in mind i can see myself giving it a miss , although it may turn to be a great game.

Personally i think infinity ward should of broken the cod modern warfare to its own series, lol .

These WW2 games are like sports games. Tack another number onto the end, update the roster, and ship 'em out.

Not appealing to me.

Agreed. No more ****ing WW2 games.

I will never buy another COD game if they don't make the sequel to Modern Warfare.

I had so much fun with COD2, did not like COD3 at all, and I've never played COD4 because I'm tired of that series not having any type of co-op or split screen. That's what really sells a FPS/TPS for me because I have friends that come over, my sister in another state on an Xbox 360, and my girlfriend all who like to play shooters. If COD5 follows suit, then I won't be getting it. COD2 would have been so much fun with co-op.

Yet Call of Duty 4 is the last game you've played in your Gamertag.

If it's not modern, than no. WW2 games boreeeee me. Use this junk gun, man the turret, snipe that guy, here's the ending...CoD4 was the first one I owned. Call me shallow.

I'll get it and I'll love it, if it's good that is, the COD series has always suffered from lack of gore. If they change that than this is a must-buy for me. To me ww2 never gets old. but I would like some diffrent scenarios not just american russian and british perspectives, that's the only stale thing about it. There ARE tons of ww2 games, but not many worth playing, don't know why ppl seem to think there's a lack of modern shooters though, I think they're just as common as ww2 titles.

Maybe, I'll need to know much more about it. I don't mind WWII but Treyarch better pull it off right(I did enjoy COD3 BTW, just as much as COD2, I gave both 9/10, COD4 I gave a 9.5)

I like CoD4 but I am starting to grow tired of online FPS and I am definitely tired of WW2 shooters. I might rent it.

Well. I didn't think CoD3 was all that good.. but hey.. in true CoD fanservice I would probably get it anyway. I'll give Trey another chance, we all know IW does an amazing job but perhaps Treyarch just needs a chance to show their stuff.

Yes, I will probably be getting this ifthe graphics are improved to COD 4 standards as I loved Call of Duty 3. I hope the maps are improved as well and possibly some of the gameplay.

At this point i would rather fight WWI than fight WW2 again. There have been so many conflicts both big and small that they could use to make an awesome game.

Such as:

The Black Hawk Down Incident

Vietnam

Gulf Conflict

Future

Yeah, I'll buy it. I liked Treyarch's other COD games. Big Red One was a lot of fun to play. More so then Finest Hour. So look at it this way: Would you rather have Spark Unlimited (Turning Point, Finest Hour) or Treyarch (Big Red One, COD3, Spider-Man)?

Once the Price tag hits $29.99 maybe? I like shooters but anymore developers are throwing everything and anything to make a fast buck.

Why are you guys getting all mad? It is not like Infinity Ward is going to be set back by this. They have two studios developing Call of Duty games and when this one comes out, Infinity Ward will already be well underway with their next project. I personally thought Call of Duty 3 was awesome and I am looking forward to this game as well as Infinity Ward's next title.

A lot of Call of duty games are losing their quality. Call of duty 2 was alright, COD3 was a big flop and COD4 is ok. VCOD FTW!

See and that's what I don't get. Why was COD3 a flop?? It played just like COD2. Ran at 60 FPS. Had the same control mapping (for the most part). All in all it was exactly like COD2, which everyone loves so much, except COD3 added vehicles with helped quell the monotony and gave a little more depth to the combat.

The only COD game that was a huge flop was Finest Hour on the PS2/Xbox.

the first one I played was on the PC and it was by Infinity Ward, so I got spoiled. The problem with Finest Hour is that it doesn't feel like a COD game. It feels very cheap and even more linear then an IW COD game.

Treyarch at the helm puts me off a little bit, because I loved what Infinity Ward did with COD4.

I'll see what kinda scores it gets than maybe give it a rent. If I like it I'll buy it.

I'm still thinking about it. But James Bond with the COD 4 engine sounds interesting. Hell Crysis with the COD 4 engine sounds interesting too.

well i work at gamestop so ill probably check it out for a couple days... but i doubt itll be worth a buy. I dont see why activision doesnt figure out that infinity ward makes amazing games and treyarch sucks... god that annoys me... activivision is stupid and i hope this game bombs so maybe they realize that they just need to let infinity ward have the franchise.

First off i heard the game wasn't WWII, and second i cannot make a decision withouth knowing NOTHING about the game.

I sure loved the settings of CoD 4 but i won't judge a game or make a decision on a purchase without more info.

I see people that missed COD4 the first time around, picking it up at a used price when COD5 comes out. I also see people that are playing COD4 now continuing to play COD4 even after the COD5 is released.

In the news bullet today, it said "new theater". So it could be WWII Japan, the Korean War, Vietnam, or some other location. Let's not jump the gun. But if it is an older game, all of us will be going back to COD4 to groove to those modern weapons.

I think they mean a theater of war in WWII. Think South Pacific (Iwo Jima, Okinawa, the Philippine islands), not Vietnam, the Korean conflict, etc. It would be better then another take on the Western/Eastern fronts.

The only way I would tolerate another WWII game would be if it was from the other side and told the story of the Germans, the Italians and the Japanese. Maybe do a Flags Of Our Fathers/Letters From Iwo Jima thing.
