Mass Effect, at a certain point the story sucked me in and I had to finsih it. So I skipped as much as I could of the optional stuff but it stil took me four hours to finsih it.
Assassin's Creed, while being a fun game it did get repetitive at a certain point and I got Mass Effect so I really wanted to finsih AC so I could start with ME.
I got my 360 a week ago and I'm playing Halo on Heroic and I'm up to the six level (refuge). I haven't beaten a game yet on the 360 but the game that made me the happiest when I beat it was Super Mario 64.
Recently, Call of Duty 4 was really awesome from start to finish. Like a few of the posters before me, I get sad when I beat good games because I don't want them to end. I'd have to say my favorite to date is Final Fantasy 7 for the story aspect. Really awesome game. Chrono Cross is also an honorable mention. Great game as well.
Gears was very satisfying but left me wanting more. Bioshock was also a pure joy for me to play through the first time, but I have to go get the "bad" ending now.
I've only just started Mass Effect and I can already tell that this will be my favorite this year.
I'll have to get CoD 4 by the sounds of people's reactions to it.

Wow, you totally ruined the experience. Mass Effect should last dozens of hours. It ahould be an experience that you enjoy over a period of weeks, even months. Re-do it, and do the side quests. You'll be much more satisifed.
Anyways, I'm never really happy when I finish a game, if it's good. I don't want it to end. If a game is bad, most of the time I won't bother finishing it.

Same here. But other than than it was The Orange Box. I didn't want the Half-Life 2 to end so abruptly and I didn't want Portal to end. The cake was a lie. Lol
