using usb keyboards on 360

does anyone no if usb keyboards work on 360. if so does any usb keyboard work?

i no its a stupid question but plz help so i can get one for when the xbox 360 update includes windows live messenger

ive tried a keyboard from a mac, so if that works, most should. only real use ive found for it is labeling imported songs from a mixed cd
