i am going to buy shadowrun, but i have to wait because it hasn't gotten in to any stores yet. can you tell me exactly what the single player is like and what you do and.... everything about it?rav44Lol, he sure is ready to run out and buy it on a whim. No SP, just some training levels to get you ready for MP.
Just get gears of war, rainbow six, hell wait for bioshock or halo 3 or something.

Why buy half a FPS for full price.Â
have em all, preorders. just answer the question i asked.rav44

What is so hard to understand? Its a multiplayer based game, the multiplayer side has no story. The 'single player' missions are training to show you how to cast spells and use everything to its full advantage. Their is no story to it. You fight AI bots in the training missions as if it was multiplayer so you can try out guns, spells, magic, ect.
It's basically like Unreal Tournament to my understanding but with a twist. So no story mode.karmageddon2k4
THe devs said if this game sells well, and it should, then we'll get a follow up RPG. Now THAT will be sweet. For now, enjoy the best multiplayer game on the 360 BY FAR.

They were folded into Microsoft Games Studios... they are still going to make games for 360. Their next game is most likely going to be Crimson Skies 2, which sounds pretty good to me.I was getting hyped for this game until i read just a few minutes ago that there is no leaderboard, or stats at all for that matter! For this being a $60 multiplayer only game, it's really lacking!krp008
I am kinda surprised when I think about it that they are charging full price for what is really half a game.SymphonicWaves
are you that surprised when they charge full price for a game like Tribes, Unreal Tournament, Quake Arena, Battlefield, or even SOCOM: Confrontation which is going to be online-only?
Â
I'm not surprised. you have to understand that it is not HALF of a game. it is 100% of a game but is ONLY multiplayer. so they focus ALL their work on the multiplayer part making it as whole as it can be because it IS the game. it's not like they made a whole multiplayer/single player game and then just cut the SP leaving you with a half-hearted multiplayer game. it is a dedicated multiplayer experience that isnt meant to be played any other way.Â

I see it as the amount of content I'm getting for my purchase.  And as it stands, there isn't enough in ShadowRun, ESPECIALLY, when the MP is 9 maps and 3 multi player modes.  IF they wanna try a pull a Counter Strike, it better be as good as Counter Strike, and have the longevity.Â
