Singleplayer. I admit, I've played quite a fair amount of Halo and TF2 over time, but that interest has since declined. There's too many games out there with the same dull multiplayer modes and the same rampantly hostile communities for me to want to bother with it anymore. I'll stick to replaying the many awesome SP games out there.
Single. I just hate the abuse and pathetic comments that I always seem to hear when playing MP. Haven't played multiplayer for couple of years now, and don't intend to.
I've always had a major preference towards single player games but I don't mind playing multiplayer if the game was built from the ground up with it in mind. I hate games that have tacked-on multiplayer!

sadly more and more games have that feature without a deep multiplayer
