IGN was a speculation, so this could be somebody's idea of a joke, making it look official by putting in a big name. Although I would love to see this as being true, then there would be no reason for me to even look at a PS3 in the shops for me personally.

It seems inevitable that MGS4 is coming to the 360. This isn't a big surprise. MGS2 mad it to Xbox, so we know that Sony's grip isn't very tight. If it is a 6 month lapse, it will still be considered a PS3 game. That's a long time to wait.

You seem to overlook that the game sold horribly on Xbox and wasn't Kojima's intention to port it in the first place. Hence the reason MGS3 never made it.

The game coming over to 360 wouldnt be kojima's doing either. It would be Konami itself. Plus I am pretty sure there is no doubt the game would sell well on 360 now that it has become an even more respected franchise.

He's got an intended plan for the game and that's how he wants it to turn out. When the first MGS4 trailer was shown, he was adamant about it being PS3 exclusive and not porting it. He even said working on the other consoles would produce new IPs with nothing to do with MGS. He also has a game for the Wii planned so making a port would prolong his work on it. And the franchise was respected when MGS2 launched so that really shouldn't even be an excuse. A port would take up more of his time as he'd have to deal with cutting the game down to fit on the 360's media format, and take out things (SIXAXIS support, PSP connectivity which he's playing around with, etc.)

I know he said he didnt want to port it, but Konami knows that 360 software is selling extremely well and they could easily put another dev in charge of porting it (as Silicon knights did for MGS2). Also, Nobody seems to realize that DVD9 combined with MS constant compression advancement isnt a bad thing. They wouldnt have to cut out stuff, and evenif they did have to put it on 2 discs I dont think anybody would mind too much. I for one dont give a damn about sixaxis, but the PSP connectivity could be cool. You win some you lose some though I guess.
I've been fooled by this site once before on/near April Fools (The date was also on March 31st, but at 10:00pm) and also at Kojima's GO3, wouldn't he have hinted (a tiny bit) a 360 MSG?? Anyways people, don't get your hopes up, but that doesn't mean it won't come out for the 360 eventually. However Note: Kojima really, REALLY HATES ports - anyone remember his (pissed) thoughts on the ports to the xbox and gamecube?

im not buying it...seems a lil bit suspicious..because the wording doesnt seem to be coming form a rep...neways i have a 360 nd i dont have a ps3...but i could care less if mgs4 came to the 360..im already satisfied that assassins cree and dmc4 are coming to the 360...i mean comon microsoft ur sukcing the life out of the ps3 lil by lil..
I would have to say that this is up in the air for me... I can't remember if it was online some where or in Game Informer Mag.
But Mr. Kojima said that the 360 is a platform that he would love to work with in the future.

Yes and it sold like crap. This site is BSing, they are saying its from a issue of EGM from december 06, if it was true it would be all over the web and major game sites. Its a early april fools joke.
