How unfair is this... HELP

Ok, I play Xbox as much as I can, but according to my parents this is to much, so my step dad being the **** that he is decided it might be funny as he doesn't like me to phone up Microsoft and find out how to put a family timer on the Xbox, so now I can only play it for 3 hours a day.. which sucks 'cause I'm used to 5/6 hours minimum

Do you guys know if there is a way to take off the password between me and non-stop gaming?

if you played 5-6 hours occasionally it would be fine, but every day is in fact too much. read a book, go see a movie, ride a bike, just chill iwht some friends.

and there are always single player games.

I don't think that's even healthy. I'm off on the weekends and I only play for about 2.5-3 hours max and that usually on Saturday. I'll be honest though, I did take 6/13 off to play MGS4. :o

That is a lot of hours to be playing, but it does suck having a limit. I mean I know we've all had those nights when we play 10+ hours.

Guess the TC will have to go to friends homes to enjoy gaming nights like those.

I agree with everyone here that suggests you go outside and get some exercise. Don't let yourself turn into an out of shape blob.

That's a little much man, you're telling me you spend a quarter of your day looking at a tv screen..? Homework, friends, a girlfriend, a job, and an active life style should come before that much gaming. I'm lucky if I can get 2 hours in a day, then again that's usually with friends at my house anyways. It's a twofer.

You people responding to this thread telling this kid to go out and get a life, a girlfriend, etc are all a bunch of hypocrites. Im sure half if not more of you spend loads of hours playing halo, cod, gears and other addicting games. Sure it may be a bit bad to spend 5+ hours a night on games but hey, the kid is happy. I rather be happy doing something unhealthy then being miserable doing something good for me. Quit telling this kid off. The irony here is killing me. You all have the time to play games and come on forums to talk about games, then you people must not have lives as well. I dont care if you go on these forums on your work break. Are you just like the OP and thus are taking all this offensively as well?

I absolutely cannot play games for 5-6hrs a day. I can barely manage an hour most of the time (haven't played at all in about a week). There are plenty of us who can sneak in 5-10mins scrolling a message board (it's a nice break from my incessant 12hr study days). Do I EVER get to play those kinds of hours? Yes, once in a blue moon and it's usually after a long period of working my butt off and not getting to play at all. I don't have a problem if that's what he's doing. If he's spending 1/4 of his life playing games (and who knows what percentage on the computer and watching TV as well), 1/3 of it sleeping, and another 1/3 at school I'm pretty questioning of whether he is doing what he should be as well.

Good for his parents to restrict his gaming; I wish more parents would take that kind of proactive interest in their children's wellbeing and life.

yeah i used to play that much when they came out with the original xbox.....and god dman you get out of shape and ery fast, at least your parents are helping you..i had to stop alone, and yes its hard when your use to it. but trust me after i stoped, i actuly got in better shape,got more friends and a girlfriend so.... go for it buddy, and give life a try
