Haze Delay May Really Hurt The 360

Haze is going to be absoslutly incredible. If it comes out in November for the PS3, I will be dissapointed if I dont have it by January. Also, if a lot of casual gamers or people who have yet to own a next generation console get a look at haze, you are gonna bet they are going to be picking up aPS3 for Haze.

Well since Haze is being delayed i guess i will just sell my 360 and never buy another.

Now i don't doubt Haze may be a great game, but one game doesn't sell a console...... no matter what game it is.

Haze will go relatively unnoticed IMO.

Lol, I hear ya! I think I heard somewhere it is one of the few games designed primarily for the PS3 and secondarily for the Xbox 360, unlike most multi-platform games

Which is odd, because every multi-platform game developer says that it's much easier to develop a game primarily on the 360 because of it's great development tools. Example: Todd Howard, Fallout 3.

i didn't even know that Haze was coming to the 360. no one is talking about the game so it's release date does not matter at all to the 360 community. there are enough games coming out this year and if it comes out this year no one will buy it.

You're joking right? Haze looks average in every way & the 360 has so many great games coming out that Haze probably wouldn't have even gotten noticed amongst the greatness of all the other FPS's, (Bioshock, Halo3, CoD4, MoH). ColoradoKindBud

i dont really think its gonna hurt the 360, microsoft has a solid line up, im kinda glad it got delayed so i can buy it later because im gonna be broke cuz theres alot of games i want this fallronnie_m17

I definitely agree. There is a lot of great other games coming this year that, IMO, blows the doors off Haze. I think Haze will be a good game but Halo 3, Mass Effect and Assassins Creed seem better to me, again IMO.

It might hurt the Xbox in the sense of "oh, damn guess I'll just buy the other shooter that I couldn't afford last time (probably Bioshock or CoD4)."

The Unreal Tournament delay, now that will hurt Xbox MUCH more.

Boy, someone doesn't know what they are talking about. Caual players wanting to play HAZE? They don't care about FPS as much as they do about Maddden. So I highly doubt this will sell consoles especially in comparison to MGS 4 . Now that will sell the PS3. I bet Halo 3 is better anyway.

Has anyone ever heard the term Halo-Killer? It means a complete rip-off of Halo basically. Haze is by defintion a Halo-Killer, Killzone was widely considered a Halo-killer. Why buya Halo-killer when you can have the real thing? Haze doesn't excite me one little bit...

Um, the phrase "Halo-killer" does not mean a ripoff of Halo. A Halo ripoff is a ripoff of Halo. When people use the term "Halo-killer", they mean it's aFPS that is better than Halo. And as far as consoles go, there hasn't been a "Halo-killer" yet.

The term "Halo-Killer" in NO WAY means is a copy of Halo. The term refers to a game that will take Halo over in terms of popularity and amount of people who center their value on that console around that single game.

Well thats your opinion, but your wrong imo,Haze has no hype or no weight as well, I can name about 7-10 shooters I think are going to be a better then Haze.

Lol, true, it is easier to develop on, but the PS3 allows for more expanded development, what with the Blu-Ray discs and guaranteed hard drive. Still, will be interesting to see what a game primarily designed for PS3 and secondary for Xbox 360 will look on both consoles (although it might not be exact, what with the extra months the team get to optimize the Xbox 360 version). Looking forward to seeing Burnout Paradise for the same reason, I hear they are also doing PS3 version first.

Yes it did HELP sell the console, but you are trying to tell me that you bought an xbox and only own Halo? When i bought my Xbox i bought it for Morrowind, Halo, and some other titles. The later Kotor came out and that HELPED sell the console, but by no means does one game sell a console.

If the Xbox only had Halo and had absolutly no other games the console wouldn't sell that much. Yes i love halo and i think it is an amazing franchise, but if you buy a console because of one game then you my good sir are an idiot. It would be like buying an Xbox 360 for achievements.

Haze won't sell the console by itself just like Halo didn't. It is the game itself along with all the other games. Haze will HELP sell the console along with MGS, FF, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, and other titles just like Halo, Gears, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Ace Combat, and other titles will help sell the 360.

Yes Halo will probably outsell all of those games, but it will by no means sell a console. The only way a game can sell a console is if it is perfect which is almost completely impossible because you would have to create a game the fills in every genre and does them perfectly..... it won't happen any time soon.
