Halo 3 review stuff... Read or be burned.

Ok, here's the deal. Talk about the review here. That means here and nowhere else... make a thread about it and it WILL get locked.

edit: Yes, I've played the game. Beat it on heroic. Clocked about 15 hours on multiplayer. Check the gamertag in my sig.

I was expecting more an 8.5 or a 9.0 here, Halo3 from the looks of things just improved upon an existing formula while adding little trinkets here and there (looking forward to playing around with Forge), but is that really enough to justify giving a title a near perfect score?Genexi2

the games not even out yet, just because you're 'assuming' that its not very good, doesnt mean it isnt, Jeff is a damn good reviewer, and until you play the game yourself and give your own personal opinion, just shut up and listen to Jeff -_-' :)

if halo3 was the first to do that Unreal Tournament 3 would proly get the same or lower score unless they do sumthin revolutionary

great great great review. Jeff seemed really excited about the game and now im even more excited. Just watching the review and not seeing the score i would have though jeff gave it a ten. But really the two "bad" tihngs he said were very very very little things. It makes me think if the reviews werent .5 types it would have been around 9.8.

But the thing i dont understand is why did he take off of halo 3 because there is little kids playing it...yes its annoying but you can mute them so i dont see it as a problem that should take points off the score

He just said he played it. You know, there was a bunch of people who got their copies early...

I expect people to come at us with fire and pitchforks, but oh well. lol

Yeah Jeff is spot on with that one. They could use that line with every online game though :D

As for the score. I didnt think it would get higher than Bioshock. I guess the online content added 0.5

Why the hell do you/ little kids in general play Halo????? What about to age restrictions???

Theres 11yr olds on damn gears of war that just make the game and pauses between rounds annoying as hell. All you hear is...."How did you do on the phonics test we had :)" "My mommy said i have to do better when Ms. Marty gives us a social studies test :(."

Been lookin' forward to the review here on Gamespot, and it finally came! Great review!

My only complaint is the 0.5x rating system, which to me is a horrid mistake. The difference between a 9.7 and a 9.5 is massive at this range... oh well.

Anyway, I've been flying around the net reading various reviews - and it seems to be unanimous, Halo 3 is a masterpiece of gaming.

Cannot wait until Tuesday. :)

Halo 2 was notorious for having a large number of players whose behavior might be described as somewhat immature, people who just swear constantly and make racist and homophobic comments and that sort of thing can bring the experience down for people who just want to enjoy a friendly game, or at leasta game against relatively mature and respectful competitors.

9.5. I never doubted it for a second. Great review Jeff.

Can't wait for my my copy to get here on Tuesday :D
