Gears 5 glitches

I am playing on an Xbox One S and my game is completely glitched out to where Kait is stuck in a building you’re not suppposed to be in and she can’t progress to the area where Del is. This is towards the beginning of Act II right after you meet Kait’s uncle and get in a firefight.

My game has been stuck since last weekend and I have tried reloading the checkpoint a dozen times to no success. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really don’t want to delete my save file and start all over again if I don’t have to.

@jcrame10: Can't you just restart the chapter considering you're at the start of act 2 anyway.

Also try rebooting the console which might help.
