I just got the 30k mark, and proud of it. I have always been a hardcore gamer and achievements in my opinion have really helped guys like me which would normally beat a game ina few hours and then never go back to it again, it helps a lot in replay value and its just plain fun. I still have a life though and my gamerscore normally goes up when I have no college classes to worry about or on weekends so its not like its the only thing I do.
Everyone has a life, we just have different themes that surround it. Like that guy who has 90,000 points just plays a lot of games. That's his life. Just because you find it pointless and a waste of time doesn't mean it does to him. Do what you want with your free time bit don't go off insulting people because they do something differently with their free time than you do.

i almost have 30k, i also have a wii, ps3, ds and a psp. I play on all my consoles alot! Xbox360 has to be my favorite because of live (ps3 will get alot of attetion in march with MGS and Home) and my freinds all have xbox with live, so gaming with them is alot of fun. I would call myself a hardcore gamer heres a list of games i have completed over christmass assainscreed, masseffect ,cod4 ,mariogalaxy ,uncharted ,zelda phantom hourglass. I am currently playing acecombat ,silenthill oragins and ROME totalwar.
i also have a girlfreind and a good social life my olny problem is i probably could be more outgoing.

My GS score is roughly 13k. and yes, I do have a SOCAIL life. a very healthy one at that. However, I hardly have a SOCIAL life on XBL.Either way, I am content.
My Gamerscore is 5297. I don't really care about gamerscore but in my gamerscore, I want to get rid of the 7 so badly to either a 0 or a 5. I have better things to do than play video games and getting achievements.

I agree just because people have high gamerscores doesn't mean they have no lives, it took me a year to get mine.
mines at like 3100 i think. it does make me wonder when i see people with gamerscores over like 30,000. ithe points arefun tho, they add more reasons to go back through a game again, get a little bit more for your money. however i don't think they should determine your status as a gamer...or a human for that matter.
I like the idea of the achievements but I don't let that decide which games to play. Ihave some friends however that don't want to play COD4 online just because there aren't any online achievements?! C'mon. I am proud of my little 16850 gs and if it werent' for achievements, I wouldn't be playing some of the bargain games I got. Fantastic Four anyone? yuck!

I think it's really a question of who pays attention to collecting achievements and who doesn't. Personally, I try to get as many achievements as I can but I don't make it a priority, I think playing the games is the fun part, getting the achievements is just a nice little bonus :) If people have high gamerscores then good for them. I don't think it proves that you're a good gamer though. Just an achievement whore ;)

I dont really care to much about gamerscore. Its nice to have a big one but then if its to high people will start saying you got no life and if its to low then everybody just calls you a noob.
I think im at 6200 and ive had it sense launch and i have about 15-16 games so im not doing to bad but i usually stop playing a game after i beat it.
gamerscore is pointles, i thought you could buy stuff with it before i got my 360, but now i realized its stupid. i mean, when the last time you looked at a guys gamerscore and thought "wow, hes awesome!"
i have 8845 but the reason why is because all i really have are sports games and shooters but mosstly sports games and i have had it for a year plus and i only play it on weekends or sometimes weekdays if i have time wich is rare lol

19953gs, its not about having no life, ive had an xbox for 2 years, and its a pretty harsh conclution to make, ie. high gamerscore = no life, some people play online only, clock up loads of days online, but have bad gamerscore... this means they have a life, ok then
ive seen people with 240,000 no joke it was pretty scary. And i dont have a high gamerscore and i have a life but my gs is coming up gradually. deathshand707
there not legit gamerscores. done by using either gamesaves or other hacking techniques to trick the servers to unlock achievements at their end you havent achieved. you can normally tell these hackers a mile off by a score like that and 1000 points in everthing, including games which arnt in their region., and they have multiplayer achievements, but if u add them to your friends list and look under the leaderboards filtered for friends they never played the game online or have done badly i got 18000 but thats only because i have loads of games, rather than nailing every game. i just play the games for as long as i like and if i unlock stuff great, they have been times where ive looked at the list to see if they was something to do but never really tried to go all out to get 1000 on every game. one or two games where i got close and thats when i tried to get the final ones but i wont play something i dont like for the score or do something thats way too much work to be worth the pay off. great additonal to the console though, but stupid scores u can usually look at them and suss they not legit espieally when they got 1000 points in the english version of the game and 1000 points in the *** version of the game
alot of the time when a games new to me and i usually dive straight in, i like to play games and then try and guess when the achievement is going to pop up. sometimes im about to do something thinking i think im due one here and i get it,. sometimes i do it and get nothign and like whoa sure i wud of got one for that. also a good way to play when u just play and let them come to you naturally, than letting them take over your game, sometimes are nice suprises
26 000 i like gamerscore ive had my 360 since launch i rent games like every week, its hard not getting gamerscore doing that i also go for achievements. i think it depends how many hours youve spent on games for ex. ive only played cod 4 for 2 days yet im only missing one achievement.
