i guess i have best games for each genre.... but the most memorable game ever for me is Lengend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time
following very close behind that is Shadow of the colossus
for 360 the best game so far is gears of war... i am looking forward to Bioshock tho and expect that to reign king on the 360

I agree about Shadow of the Colossus. Granted the game was pretty short, but something about that game was just amazing. Everything that happened in that game took my breath away and had me constantly coming back for more.
Also about OoT, that game will forever be one of the greats.
bah there are so many theres no way to pick just one
And like everyone else is saying, Goldeneye, Smash Bros and Mario Kart are all up there on top games of all time.
NHL 94! Good one! Sega genesis, not so good... But anyway... It's hard to answer this question specially for old schools like me... But I really like: Nintendo - FFII, Battletoads, Double Dragon 2 (this is maybe the best for NES, IMO); SNES - FFIII, Mario Kart, Street Fighter 2; Genesis - NHL 94, Desert Strike, Shinning Force 2; Sega CD - Dark wizard (I just love this game, and they never did something similar to it anymore); Sega Saturn - Virtua Fighter 2; Dreamcast - Virtua Tennis 2k2, Marvel vs. Capcom 2. PS2 - God of War, Virtua Fighter 4; Xbox 360 - Gears of War; PC: Xcom, Baldurs Gate II, Half Life.way to hard to pick one, Mario 3, Shining force 2,nhl 94,golden eye and zelda orcana of time.

FF7! Answer to all problems! All of the RPG'S after that sucks crap! FFX was horrible, And no other RPG can get a storyline close to FF7. Other than that, I did enjoy Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the mega drive that was the greatest platformer I ever played!

I just want to know what everyone thinks the best game of all time is and why?spectermonkey27
Planescape: Torment for the PC. Becasuse the story and the gameplay were great, couple that with a great setting, great mood, great graphics and fun combat and you have a great RPG
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Nothings touchesthe experienceexcept maaaybefor Fable, but it's not as enjoyable.
Metal Gear Solid on the PSX. I haddnt owned a system in a few years but I bought a Playstation, bought this game, sat down, played it for 15 hours or so, beat it, then played it again. It took me about 25 hours to beat it twice and I did it straight. It was sweet. To this day it is the feeling I want to have again when I play a new game.billyforde
