This has turned into one of my most anticipated events. I'm pretty sure I hated the idea of making the EC a gimmick PPV deal, but I have loved it in practice. I've even gotten to like it as the placeholder show to Mania, as it has been eventful thus far. I still think it might be better served to move it where it can be a focus show, but whatever.

Unfortunately, it's looking like WWE is well on its way to turning in another ****ing embarrassing undercard. If they could put on a half-way decent undercard to compliment the ECs, this could seriously be PPVOTY

The only reason the RAW EC won't be a potential 5 Star Match is because of Truth. He should be replaced with Booker. Hell, I would take Kong over Truth.Dark_Hylian8

The only way they could make this shocking is if Lawler beats Miz, then somehow loses the title on RAW. Then again, this feud needs to go away ASAP so just let Miz win so we can be done with it and Miz can lose at Mania. 

Well i'm gonna go makes some predictions of the match card (and my thoughts)

WWE Championship - Jerry Lawler vs The Miz(c)

Nothing says Main eventer more than fighting a 61-year old man who wasn't much of a main eventer for the companies' world title, this could be a pretty alright match but nothing special. Thinking about first time world champions in WWE recently, Sheamus seems to be the most successful reign in terms of interest and overness, plus he lost the title at EC so i'm more than expected for Miz to retain the title, it might be interesting to see Lawler finally win a title in WWE. (I'm surprised he didn't win at least a European or IC title) I wonder if you can change your mind about which champion to face after winning the Royal Rumble? Since Cena used his god powers to get a title shot at No Way Out a few years old. Lawler beats Miz and Alberto del Rio requests a title shot on the next raw or after the match if it's given time. Then it gives Orton or Cena something to do at WM other than facing each other. (That's still an option since Cena vs Orton SINGLES MATCH has never happened at WM)

Smackdown Elimination Chamber Match

Out of the six wrestlers in the SD EC, Edge and Mysterio are the favourites: since 1) Edge vs del Rio feud sounds good and smells good and 2) WWE could probably given Mysterio/del Rio one more match at WM then del Rio could move to RAW or something. The thing stopping Mysterio from fully gaining my approval is Cody Rhodes - obviously there must be something buliding up after Rhodes got out of the Royal Rumble, maybe Mysterio gets attacked and put out of the EC and Rhodes replaces him, thus setting up the feud. IMO, Edge is my favourite to win.

RAW Elimination Chamber Match

My personal favourites to win this match are Punk or Morrison, the obvious is Cena or Orton, there are more possiblities for RAW than Smackdown here. Morrison vs Miz would be a fresh thing in the main event but might be too late the month after WM for it to be the main main event anyway. Punk vs Cena could be a possiblity since this would leave Nexus vs Corre to 4-on-4 at WM.

I remember in new ECW when Punk would fight Morrison for the title almost every second week.

That being said, I will lose all faith in WWE booking if Lawler goes to WM as champ.

I think Ziggler will win the Championship from Edge on Smackdown this week, and then Edge win it back at the PPV, but then again there could also be another way like Teddy Long coming out during the Ziggler Vs. Edge match W/ Vickie as the Ref and saying the Spear ban is lifted, but somehow Edge still loses, but comes out of the EC as the WWE World Champion.

Triple H celebrates his return & victory and grabs a mic and says he'll meet Sheamus at Wrestlemania where he will prove to him that he's the true king of kings, John Cena gets up and shakes hands with Triple H and after that Triple H leaves to the locker room. John Cena looks back up at the Wrestlemania logo with the face that he's going to miss it this year. As he starts to leave The Rock music plays where he then mocks John Cena and his "U can't see me" taunt, they trade insults and The Rock ends the night with saying: "John Cena will have a match at Wrestlemania, where he will meet The great one."

It's just that WWE likes to surprise us with the EC ppv everytime, like last year with Batista walking out as champ, but wasn't even in the EC match. :)

I just don't think Cena vs Miz for the WWE championship is a good idea for a WM main event.

Well, because history is against Del Rio.

Starting in 1996, a PPV was placed between the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania. Since then, only 5 Rumble winners have won their matches at the next PPV, 7 Rumble winners have lost, and 3 didn't compete. 

The Winners are: HBK (1996), Austin (1998 ), Lesnar (2003), Cena by DQ (2008 ), and Orton (2009)

The Losers are: Austin (1997), Vince (1999), Rock (2000), Austin (2001), Triple H (2002), Rey Mysterio (2006), and Undertaker (2008 )

Chris Benoit (2004) and Batista (2005) didn't compete at the next PPV because they were Smackdown Exclusive. Edge didn't compete in 2010.

Now, I pick Kingston not because I think it will elevate him to the Main Event of Wrestlemania, but because Del Rio doesn't need the win, and according to history, there is a bigger chance he will lose.

- Tonight's Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View will be the first WWE Pay-Per-View in over two years that does not have John Cena or Randy Orton involved in a title match. The last time the company had a Pay-Per-View that fit that criteria was Cyber Sunday on October 26th, 2008, which had neither Cena nor Orton on the card.

The last PPV that both Cena and Orton were on but didn't involve them in title matches was Survivor Series 2006, though both men were in Survivor Series-sty_le matches and Cena was WWE Champion. The last PPV that had both of them in non-championship singles matches was Vengeance 2006 on June 25th, 2006.
