FLASHBACKThe Collision of worlds
*Pherason is speaking to Ignitus in a small blue-grey tinted cave, with a small fire illuminating everything with a soft gold pulse. Young Lanser and Fusha are playing around near the entrance.*
Ignitus: You can't stop here for much longer. You know how quickly she moves!
Pherason: I refuse to let her deficate this community, even if I have to do it alone.
Ignitus: You would not survive! I mean, I'm the only one who escaped her last encounter, I have no idea what happened to the other Guardians!
Pherason: I'll do what it takes!
Ignitus: Remember, I warned you.
*Exits conversation and walks towards the younger dragons at the entrance*
Ignitus: *Speaking so that Pherason cannot hear* Lanser, Fusha? I need you to listen to me.
*They immediatly pause and look up, their smiles drop quickly*
Ignitus: You know where Crystal Summit is don't you?
*Both give nervous nods*
Ignitus: The moment you see a large black dragon pass through here, run as fast as you can to Crystal Summit. Don't forget!
Lanser: *Nervous* Yes s-sir. What about dad?
Ignitus: *Smiles* He will stay here and make sure you safely get there.
Fusha: Why? What's happening?
Ignitus: *Looks cautiously over his shoulder, seeing Pherason getting suspicious* Nothing, just remember what I said! *Smiles* Take care!
*Walk out of the cave and flies quickly into the dark night sky*
Pherason: Come on now you two! It's time you got some sleep!
Lanser: Okay dad! Who was that guy by the way?
Pherason: No-one, just an old-friend.
*He lies down near the fire, and the younger dragons jump between his arms and curl up. They eventually fall asleep*
-After a black fade-
*Lanser wakes up, alerted by a light trembling. He looks around lost, before nudging Fusha*
Lanser: *Whispering* Fusha, wake up! Wake up!
Fusha: *Opens her eyes, and responds drowsily* What? *Yawns*
Lanser: Listen!
*Pulsing thud*
Fusha: What is that?
Lanser: Let's go see!
*They bound out of Pherason's arms and sprint to the entrance. They turn the corner and see a reddish orange glow emitting from behind the silhouetted grassy hill. After they look curiously at each other, they stumble up the hill. Immediately they are hit with shock; they see the nearby village in a blazing inferno. The occupants are grappling with some apes as blacked out shapes against the flames. Then a large black dragon shape slices through the thick smoke cloud. They have obviously forgotten Ignitus' words due to their reaction.*
Pherason: *Sitting outside the entrance to the cave* What are you doing out here?
*When he gets no response, he quickly runs up to them, and sees the devestation*
Pherason: Oh my! This Can't be happening!
*See's large black dragon*
Pherason: *Angered whisper* Cynder! *Raises voice* Kids, get inside NOW!!
*Lanser begins to run in fear, he turns to find Fusha for comfort, but can't find her*
Lanser: *Worried* Fusha?!
*Pherason Takes notice of this and looks rapidly around for her. Until he sees her very breifly trying to struggle out of grasp of an ape, who is running towards some burning buildings to the right*
Pherason: *Shouting vigorously* RUN NOW!! I'M GOING FOR FUSHA!
*He starts chasing, Lanser obliviously ignores it and clambers back up the hill to watch him. All of a sudden, Cynder lands in front of him to stop him. He tries a few moves to outsmart her, but she very quickly and cleanly takes a swipe with her claw. She strikes right across his neck, and he drops instantly.*
Lanser: DAD NO!!
*Cynder becomes alerted, and begins to fly towards him. He stumbles back over the hill terrified and into the cave. He tucks himself under a small rock and begins to tremble in fear. He watches near the entrance in shock, as he hears the wing beats get louder. Eventually, he see's four black feet enter the cave. As Cynder slowly edges in, he very carefully tries to tuck himself under the rock deeper. Cynder takes a few curious looks around. But then, he accidently wimpers in fear and alerts her; she looks in his direction and begins approaching, with each step his fear grows. She is just about to reach him before and ape pokes his head in the entrance.*
Ape: This village is clear, we should head back and inform our master.
Cynder: *Sinister* Good work! What about that dragon?
Ape: We got her in chains, we'll put her with the other one.
Cynder: I think one of them escaped!
Ape: I'll get a search going.
*Both exit cave, and their speaking drowns out into the distance. Lanser waits until he can only hear the flames crackle in the distance, before clambering out of the nook and looking at the empty cave. He takes a few moments before he sits in front of the fire and begins crying. After some time he lifts his head, suddenly remembering what Ignitus said, and very rapidly sprints out of the cave, and into the dark forest. As he sprints, the sound begins to slowly mute*
Fusha: *Distant* Wake up!
*Pause*
Fusha: *Slightly louder* Lanser, wake up!
*Pause*
-present time-
Fusha: *normal* Lanser!
*Lanser suddenly lifts his head of the floor, and he finds himself lying down in an icey cave overlooking Crystal Summit. Fusha is lying in front of him under his arm, and looking concerned at him*
Fusha: Nightmare about your father?
*Lanser only gives a deppressed sigh, and looks to the side*
Fusha: *Understands this as a yes* Don't worry, I'm here for you.
*Still saying nothing, he returns back to resting, this time hugging Fusha a little more*
Fusha: *Holds his hand* I'm sorry.

Not actually a spoiler, it's the only thing I could think of doing to condense the size so that you don't have such a 'journey' when page scrolling next time :P
