Good buys.
I got 2 new games.
I like Professor Layton, but I'm generally no good at the games :P
My own recent purchases would have to be, for christmas:
And then of my own actual purchases I got my mits on both of these for just £5:
A week or so ago I got my hands on:
Sleigh Bells - Reign of Terror
Got quite a few games, I won't post pictures only because theres a lot. :P
For PS3: Bioshock 2, Dead Space 2, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Call of Duty: MW2, and Operation Flashpoint Red River.
For Xbox 360: Far Cry 2, Ninja Gaiden II, Bayonetta, and Dead Rising 2 Zombrex Edition.
Downloaded a few albums off Amazon;
Howlin' Wolf - The Collection
Fatback Deluxe - Rat Now
Chickenfoot - III
These two were guilty of being 2 for £10, so naturally I had to confiscate them
The Flaming Lips - Embryonic
Rustie - Glass Swords
I went to Best Buy yesterday and bought a couple CDs:
Just made 3 more purchases that will arrive in a few days.
For Games:
I was just going to ignore this game, but i hear it puts heavy focus on the soldiers emotional aspect and it's a very difficult game to estomach because it is(here it comes...) very gritty(dun dun dun!).
For Music:
One of the best hardcore rap albums... or so i hear.
Only Brand New album that i don't have in my collection.
Technically not a purchase since it was a free download, but I got myself this :P
Le1f - Dark York
A nice free mixtape from the producer and rapper, and one of the more rising stars of New York's queer rap scene.
As far as music CDs, the only thing I've picked up a physical copy of in the last year is Resolution by Lamb of God.
Just bought Dark Roots Of Earth by Testament.
Great album.
I also happened to pick up Beyond The Permafrost by Skeletonwitch, which is cool too.
Alright, i finally got a vinyl player: An audio technica AT-LP 120-USB turntable.
Got a lot of records with it, all stuff i already had:
Radiohead - OK Computer
Radiohead - KID A
Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over Sea
King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
Converge - Jane Doe
Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come: A Chimerical Bombation in 12 Bursts
That's it for now, though i will continue buying digital records since they don't degrade over time unlike vinyl records, which potential scratches can severely affect the music.
The screaming vocals are a little so-so, but the guitar work is competant enough. All together a solid album.
I was just bumping this thread since it hasn't been used in months.
No music purchases lately for me.
A bit of a back log, but for my birthday last week I got gifted:
Electric Wizard - Dopethrone
Sleep - Dopesmoker
Kavinsky - Outrun
And then today I bought:
The Flaming Lips - The Terror
(Comes with a mini cd featuring additional tracks Sun Blows Up Today and All You Need Is Love (feat. Alex and Jade of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros)
The xx - Coexist
And I also found this new track was put up for free download by the artist himself:
So that covers my recent purchases or similar, at least ones of interest :P
Current music orders I haven't received yet (one's a pre-order):
385's upcoming album
Le Tigre - self-titled
Le Tigre - Feminist Sweepstakes
Yeasayer - Fragrant World
Since my last post: I've made the following music purchases:
Can't believe I passed this one for so long.
FireSpirit117
Did you get the LE with the red cover and bonus tracks? That is pretty hard to find now.
