Stargate sg1 season 10 episode discussion "Dominion"
Spoiler Warning !!!!!
that was a great episode. 10/10, i reminded me of the old days when sg1 used transport into goa'uld mothership and start killing all the jaffa and that seen did look very familiar when cater was shooting the jaffa on baal's ship.
back to the episode, i cant believe adria ascended i thought the ori dont ascended their worshipers but if adria was part ori it would have made sense the ascended her. baal plan was just pure genious to take over adria. his new name would have been Badria lol. i am just i bit sad  this was the penultimate episode because i think the ri story could have easily carried into season 11 and maybe even season 12....my anger for sci fi to cancel the show is coming back   :(
TOTALLY AWSOME! That was a great episode! The plot took so many twists and turns that my head was spinning. It's great to see Ba'al back as well. Great finish that sets up for what will probably be a great finale :D.
[QUOTE="xaos"][QUOTE="mjk1"]yup i cant wait for the finalemjk1The finale is a one-off standalone, isn't it? i just read the episode summary on gateworld and i think you are right, i dont think it'll have anything to do with the ori
Awwwwww... :(.
Wow, I just saw this episode tonight (new SG-1 episodes air on thursday nights in Canada). I thought it was a great episode, one of the best this season, probably the best after "The Shroud". This episode kind of seems like the "true" season finale episode we would have in SG-1, but since it's not being renewed they obviously made Unending for the reasons that they stated, wanting all the cast members to just hang out together and whatnot.
Overall though, just an AWESOME episode, and I loved the fact that we saw old-school Ba'al. I love it how he talks like a human but the times where he gets all Goa'uld is fantastic. When he confronted Adria in the cell and threatened her and started speaking in his Goa'uld voice and his eyes glowed, I actually started clapping and was like HELL YES, then when I realized what I was doing I was like "Wtf?" lol...

I though the same thing. You know what it looked like? It looked exactly like the scene from the season 1 finale when Daniel is protecting Jack and the others while they threaten Skaara and Daniel is shooting the Jaffa and then gets shot by a staff weapon.
They have so much to wrap up in an hour,i hope the last episode does Dnot suffer because of that, but this was an awsome episode
i cant wait.:D:shock::cry::[so conflicting i am sad and happy happy joy joy all at the same time.]

Well just to warn you without spoiling anything, the last episode doesn't really resolve ANYTHING except one thing right at the beginning. The movies are for wrapping up storylines.

yeah the last episode is a stand-alone episode.
Well, this was a really good episode until the end. I thought the whole plot to capture Adria was very, very well done, and the return of Baal was a very nice twist. I found myself feeling really bad for Vala at the beginning because she found herself out of friends and stuck with Adria, but I thought it had to be a trick of some kind. As for what I didn't like, well it's simple. I didn't like Adria ascending, not one bit. We still don't know if the Ori are dead and the information from Baaldria wasn't trustworthy, period. Also, since they can't (or aren't supposed to be able to) affect anything in our galaxy without risking the involvement of the Ancients, it stands to reason that Adria became an Ancient just as Daniel did. I thought this put a lie to the thought ascension was a "spiritual" act but I suppose after the episode with McKay there's a bit of a precedent. McKay came close to ascension by both evolving and coming to grips with his death, but he also used his new abilities to do good for others. Adria just...did it. I really, really didn't like how that came about. I would have preferred her to die and then return to life thanks to the actions of a Prior or something. Perhaps the Ancients will kick her out of their club as they did with Daniel and she'll have all the power of the Ori but no memory. That might be ok, but still...I don't know. I just didn't like having her ascend. It didn't seem right.
sorry i haven't posted in the last few days, but the folks are in town.
this was a really good episode! started kindof slow for me, but so many twists and turns, just GREAT. i liked the combo of the baal and ori storyline. baal killing off most of his clones, awesome, and implanting adria with a cloned symbiote, great. was a nice surprise. cant wait for the two movies! :?
i actually cant remember what happened in this episode, i'll have to watch it again mjk1
Same here, lol. Though judging from my reaction it must have been a good one. Is this the one where Ba'al makes the Ori woman his host?
Oh well what can we do.shockwave04I'm not suggesting trying to do anything about it, I'm just amazed. I thought it was a great episode and can't imagine it getting a 3.0. Then again, if memory serves, this is the reviewer who thought Nerus chortling "More chicken!" was the funniest thing ever on Stargate ;)
Different opinions. I was pissed when Jeff gave Twilight Princess a 8.8shockwave04
Scores aside, I think he gave Twilight Princess a fair review, like if you actually read the text he explains why he gave it the score he did and he justified his score. I'm not saying the score he gave that game is the be all end all, but he did a good job of explaining why he gave the game that score so I don't think people should be so mad at him. It's not like he gave it a 3/10 like that other idiot gave Dominion. That is why you don't use IGN. IGN is the worst professional review site that exists. You can't spell IGNORANT without IGN.

In the Wii review he said that the controlls felt tacked on and woulf rather have buttons, but in the GC version he said the controlls were better on the Wii version.

That is true, I also noticed that. But he did give the GC version .1 higher, and then said then gave the Wii version the "best" tag. He probably realized that he was wrong, but he can't remove it from the review now.
