Resident Evil Film Discussion Thread

I'm probably going to get a lot of negative respone to this thread but I have to say it. What do you think of the Resident Evil Movies?

I've got to come out and say this, Extinction captured one element that I wish would have made it into the games, the idea that nuking of Racoon City has caused the T-Virus to spread across the planet and the effects the virus has beyond Racoon City

Well i only like some parts of each of the movies but overall,i think they could do better than what they are doing with it now.TriniPlayer

i agree with that. the movies have the moments but not enough, for my taste.

I have only seen the first movie

I actually like it, it could use some work, but I really love some of the charecters!

wentworth miller in the net resident evil film. i like the decision but i think now he would have suited the leon s kenndy role a lot better than chris redfield role.

You are right, all he needs is a wig.

He is a okay actor as far as I know, but I have only seen him on prison break season one (thought the second season was boring so i dropped it).

But  he did have these weird moments in that show, we he Welby be like: I'm-concentrating-but-making-a-pretty-boy-pose-while-doing-it.

Plus he don't have the muscles to take on the role as Chris Redfield so he needs alot of work in order to be Chris.TriniPlayer

thats what i though resi 5 showed a very muscular chris and thats what they have to stick with now. thats why i said leon is more suited to him oh well we will have to see how it works out.

Going back a bit here,Rain was the only one that i wanted to see get through that whole scenaio but they just had to let her die which was stupid to me.I hope that they put her in "Afterlife"or the "fifth"movie after that one cuz she was a damn good Resident Evil character in that first movie.

I'm not talking about the fouth movie, but the fifth. There have been talk about rebooting the franchise. souleater289

so do you think it will be a remake? i doubt it coz the film is relatively modern

It wouldn't make sense if it was a remake, unless they want the movies to be more like the games, but I think that ship has sailed.

They should instead realise animation movies of the games.


But it is just a rumor, but the franchise have a problem. They have only one leading person, and if she doesn't want to be in the fifth movie, I don't know what they would do, besides remake it.

oh so does mila jovovic not want to do the 5th film. well thats good. i want them to make a film based on the first game and then second and 3rd. but they cant now because they already introduced jill valentine into the film unless they do a prequel

Seriously,i would rather Rain to be the main character than seeing Alice's face again.According to souleater,she was too badass for words so i hope that when they are making their fifth RE movie,they should definitely include her in it.

One thing i don't understand though,i heard that they were rebooting the series starting from the "fifth movie"but now there is news about Chris Redfield and Jill valentine coming into afterlife,are they starting it from afterlife or the fifth movie cuz if chris and jill are in afterlife,then we wouldn't be needing Alice again as the main character.

Well the way how i see it,in order to make a resident evil movie sucessful,it should have alot of action in it but i'm not saying that horror should be left out cuz afterall,its horror that made up Resident Evil in the first place.To me,there should be a mix of both but with a little more action in it cuz its not only about us "RE fans"watching it,its everyone also who would be going to watch it in cinemas as well and i'm 100% sure that they don't want to see a movie thats just plain boring to them.
