2 fits the theme better for me, so I pick it.

Edit: And by that I mean, 1 doesn't look like it should be Black and White, it looks like it is extremely colorful, hence all the gray inbetweens. 

whoa just 2 entries? O_o

and i actually don't like either. 1 for the same reasons as jenkins (seems like it should be colored, there isn't enough contrast) and 2 because it's waaaaaay too bright, plus he looks like professor xavier in that pose :P

but i'll go with 2.

2. I agree with Jenkins that the first one seems like it should be really colorful and bright.
