i just wanted to know what is the difference between the gamecube and wii version of tp apart from controls. coz i was going to buy tp for the wii but dont really want to buy a wii coz there are not that many good games for it.
Well, TP for the wii is the mirrored version of the one from GC. It was originally ment for GC, so most of those who have played them both, say GC is the better version. So if I were you, I wouldn't buy a wii only to get the wii version of TP.

Agreed, but keep in mind that the next Zelda is probably going to be for Wii aswell.
Nope, there isn't a big difference, if you have an HD-TV (or at least a component-compatible one) then you can get some minor improvements graphics-wise on the Wii version by using the (sold separately) component cables.
Other than that, it's just controls and the mirrored-ness that are different.
