He must have bad luck... or you could be lieing. I'll assume the first though since you are generally honest. Of course I'll trust my own experience above that since that never happened to anyone I know.

Yea. I think these are all just rumors. Especially since I saw on youtube someone saying the ps4 is better than the 720 even though neither came out yet. He just made up a bunch of stuff too. Not to mention you can tell he was 12 just by looking in the videos thumbnail. (It was a CoD video and his name had Pwn in it...)

You think it's ALL RUMORS because of what you heard one kid say?
Its just that my personal experiences disagree with any of these rumors. You could always be misinformed or lied to over the internet, so I'd rather trust the real world.Â
I read a report in November that Sony had overtaken Microsoft in global sales, with Nintendo still on top. And even if Sony isn't ahead of Microsoft, it released it's console about a year after Microsoft released theirs. That makes a huge difference.

No it was shipped, not sold. But yeah, they will overtake them this year
My thoughts are these. Sony got a little arrogant after the success after ps2 and thought anyone would buy the ps3 because ps2 was so good. And therefore sold it for a very espensive retail price. It was 1200 dollars here at launch. Nobody buy hardcore fans bought that. Xbox made a cheaper(but console with bigger chance of getting the red ing of death). They had a great internet connection and also had some great exlusives at first. Wii had a great start and every gamer and non gamer bought one. Wii sold most consoles, but didn't sell a lot of games due to the fact the 3rd party devs were virtually missing. 'PS3 had a lack of audience due to the console being so friggin' expensive. Xbox had probably the biggest advantage, being newest and having something new to bring to the table. I feel however that in the end of this gen PS3 has more exlusives, free online and a great sub system with ps+. And don't forget it has blu ray and most people actually use it also for netflix. Xbox has become the generic entertainment hub relying mostly on third party devs and having "exlusive" dlc deals with publishers. Wii had some great games and i felt it actuallly caught up wth the xbox
