-God of War: Ascentions, is set for release on March 12th for the Sony Playstation 3.
-"We had felt that there was a story that hadn't been told yet," Todd Papy stated, in a recent interview. "There were some other things that felt like it would make an interesting God of War game." He specifically mentioned multiplayer, which is new to the series. "I started working on it December 2009. We were finishing up God of War III. On the drive home, after crunching, 2 or 3 in the morning, this is what I would think about. I was thinking about what we wanted to do. We talked about story. One of our designers got Kratos vs. Kratos working in his spare time."
-With making a prequel, of course, Kratos will have to change. He doesn't come out as the same warrior that he is at the end of the trilogy. With that in mind, Papy said Santa Monica Studios purposefully took out some of the pirouettes and acrobatics he does. The game director also said that they tone his volcanic ire and make him slightly more human.
-Thoughts on this title? Are you worried that this game will be 'more of the same', or are you excited for this new title?
