Interesting! :twisted:

Don't suppose either of you two could explain Simultaneous equations and Linear line graphs to me?

@Naju: Likewise.. I've just spent the whole afternoon sleeping. >.<

If you ask questions like that then even if we don't know we can google it and post it here...I will be honest here I don't remember many things which I studied but those question you asked are simple ones(i feel so.:P) and I think I can solve problems too if you give me.

I will try to give short answers for this.

1. Simultaneous equation are equations with variables.

simple eg: ax+by=c

2. Linear graph is a straight line on X and Y axis which is given as

y=mx+c. where m is the slope which can be found by substituting in equation.

y=(Y2-Y1)

x=(X2-X1)

c=point where it meets the axis.

I'm still going over my math. I forgot most of it, and now I feel like an idiot. I know I did simultaneous equations and I've seen linear graphs explanation, I just never bothered to look into it and I don't think I could do it correctly. Thanks from me though. This will be helpful once I test myself in those areas.:D Math can be really fun if you have a passion for it. I lost that passion so now I'm bored by it, but I want to get that passion back and also the knowledge. I just don't feel as interested in it anymore.

lol, wow. Well its not any sum in particular.

But simultaneous equations, ok.

2x + Y = 7

3 x - Y = 8

Now.. Heres how I understand it. You must first get rid of one of these letters. Y is of the same value, so I'll use equation 2 to minus Y from + Y in Equation 1.

Next, you add up whats left, so..

5x = 15, thus x must = 3. As 5 goes into 15 three times.

Next we must substictute Y back into the equation. This part is what gets me.. But I'll give it a go.

I'll sub it into the first. So 2x + Y = 7. x = 3, so 2x = 6. So, it is now 6 + Y = 7, so Y must = 1.

X= 3

Y= 1

Equation complete. And that was an easy one. :P

That's disgusting. I did not substitue any random values.

Here's how I did. There might be an easier way to solve it though...

[spoiler]

sin2x+sin4x+sin6x = 0

2sin4xcos2x+sin4x = 0 (Using formula of sina+sinb)

On simplifying..

2cos2x = -1

cos2x = -0.5

2x = cosinverse(-0.5)

2x = 120degrees,240degrees

x = 60degrees(pie/3),120degrees(2pie/3)

Yeah after you gave me that link I remembered that formula...Its been almost 6 years when did all those problems.:P

This is how I did.

[spoiler]

siny + sin2y + sin3y = 0
siny + 2siny.cosy - 4sin(^3)y + 3siny = 0
2siny.cosy - 4sin(^3)y + 4siny = 0
siny.cosy - 2sin(^3)y + 2siny = 0
siny(cosy - 2sin(^2)y + 2) = 0
siny(cosy - 2(1 - cos(^2)y) + 2) = 0
siny(cosy - 2 + 2cos(^2)y + 2) = 0
siny(cosy + 2cos(^2)y) = 0
siny.cosy (1 + 2cosy) = 0
siny = 0 or cosy - 0 or cosy = -1/2

replace back y=2x.

Out of the movies I liked The Two Towers the best. My favorite of the books is the Fellowship of the Ring.

Often though, I consider it as one movie. It's one of the best trilogies and by far, one of the most iconic.

As for the books, fellowship of the rings is my favorite in the trilogy.

i mean you can even compare Star Trek to Star Wars, but in the end they aren't the same. Two different lores and universes. You either like it or don't. You can't really say one is "better" than the other. You can compare at best

I don't even understand where a lot of people get their fame from. Justin Beiber? Jonas brothers? Everyone thats ever been on Disney or Nickelodeon(those channels are pretty much the only places where famous people I know about are from:P)?
