No way! That's like, a crime! Unless of course, the music is terribly, extremely annoying. *cough*DragonQuestVIII&AtelierIris*cough* The personal music does not come on before the game music though. The game music will always be listened to first.
Most definitley, when I played Dark Souls for an hour, Pearl Jam and 'Alive' came on, and it just fit that moment, with some games where you need to pay attention to the story, dialogue whatever then yeh pretty much pointless but when your tearing up the streets on Burnout or taking on some demented creatures in Dark Souls, it does work out oh so well.
Yeah. Ive started to while playing Gears. just put my Mp3 on. Used to during Gears 2. Halo I dont mind listeting to music, its a lot of fun, and I used to when the first Halo came out. During Driver 3 I listened to Rocky music and stuff, so for SR2 I listened to the same music. Plan on doing the same for SR3 but I havent gotten the music onto my 360 yet, one of the songs is already in there though which is cool (No Easy Way Out) . Fallout 3, not my own music, I just keep the radio station on at all times, so maybe that doesnt count. Listened to the album "Nobody Cares" by Frank Sinatra while playing the original Mafia once. Im sure during Freedom Fighters Ive listened to music before. Indiana Jones and the Emprorers Tomb. games like Perfect Dark and Worlds Not Enough I wold listen to music. Ive got a tape I used to listen to, and I do every once and awhile again, goes so well with video games (listened to it for halo as well) Probably more, of course, there are games I wouldnt listen to music over, Donkey Kong Country for example

I played "Banana Phone" over XBL once, everyone thought it was amazing, and didnt know how I did it >> lol. but I agree its pretty annoying. Cool avy btw
I saw someone on Youtube who said they play the worst music they can find in multiplayer games, so people will leave the game. I guess they lack skills.:P
