I was so terribly confused how to play it at first glance. The controls and mechanics made no sense to me. The player's you start off with are clearly outclassed by all the players on the other team. The only good player you start off with is Tidus who has an unlimited contract.
I only played it just to get the rewards required for Wakka's overdrive/celestial weapon. This of course required me to get use to it since those key items were miles away. So obviously I needed a lot darn experience =/.
If you have Jecht Shot. Then the Luca Goers should be a piece of cake.
I spent some time trying to get the extra stuff, like Jecht Shot 2 and some others, before I knew it, i had spent 15 hours on this game, nevertheless, it gets ultra boring most of the times
I enjoyed it and liked the fact that they through in some side entertainment. I spent a decent amount of time playing blitzball because I liked forming my team and stuff. I prefer the card games from VIII and IX, however, over Blitzball.
Very fun, but very easy. But I have played it WAY to much, lol, not sure how much, but loads. And yeah, I won the first match : ) Or cup or what it was again. I was lucky, but I won : )

I myself don't see why it should be stickied...Not to be rude, but making a thread sticky is not always a good idea. A better idea is to keep a thread active. Or each time more news arrives you make a new thread where you can link to the old news. Making things sticky is most of the time a bad idea if you ask me

i just read that you have to get the key skills in a particular order. OH NO
ok, the order is the way they appear going left to right. Anti-Venom 2 is the last one and you cant get that until you have Drain Tackle 2 and you cant get that one unless you get Venom Tackle.
so if you have the other 2, you are set cuz you can only get them in one order
