discovered by this guy:
Chris Columbus
ironically it was actually discovered by these guys
long before Chris came to America....
but anyways, i figured it would have made its way to Europe by now. it's been what? 600 years?!
heck, Iceland's practically on the way to Europe. i figured you would all have Fritos and Candy corn by now too!! :P
[QUOTE="Victorious_Fize"]Am I the only one in the world that hates corn?harden007
I hate corn, but not cornbread.Â
I just Googled that, we simply call it a cake down here, but yeah, cornbread is awesomeness! =D
So basically, in Iceland corn is a luxury good. So while the President is noming down the nations corn supply in his cabin, what do the peasents eat? Aside from Englanders captured in raids of course.JeffSteel
Maybe in some way it is a luxury product but our president is too busy travelling to be eating all our corn. :PÂ
iceland needs to build an interstate highway straight to Ohio! or Indiana! the land of corn!!Â
i made cornmeal pancakes for breakfast this morning. their awesome because you can cook them with the skillet turned up to full power! cornmeal cooks a lot different than wheat flour.
and btw, it was yummy!
so no Fritos in Iceland either i suspect??!

Corn is an American crop bruno. Don't you remember that european colonists where unaware of the existance of corn until they found it here in america and discovered it was tasty?
Â
I, of course, don't find it all that tasty, unless it's baked into a bread and smothered in butter.Â

If all the corn being put into the energy sink that is ethanol were instead used for food, products using corn would be cheaper (hint: Not necessarily stuff like cornbread, if it has corn oil in it, it's price gets affected by corn), meaning places like Iceland could afford to import it. Socialists whine whine whine about how many starving poor folks are around who deserve prosperity more than Americans, and then they go do idiot crap like jack up food prices will ill-conceived plans like ethanol, thus driving up food prices and driving those same poor folk into deeper poverty and starvation. But what do they care, they are the rich, they are the intellectual elite, they know best, and frack all the dummies that disagree.
*sigh*.... :(Â
Umm... I had multiple topics open in different tabs, so I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right topic and I'm too lazy to check... But ironically not too lazy to type out this explanation XD
Anywho, corn. I guess I never really thought about that before (other places not having much corn, that is) because corn is pretty much a staple food we eat at least once a week. Corn products usually every day.
And I had something else to say, but I'm all scatterbrained and forgot, so... Yeah.
