OMG Buttman is actually making an on-topic Dynasty Warriors thread

I know, I suck for being so inconsistent here for a while now... but in the spirit of Dynasty Warriors here I am.

I know I suck for not getting DW6, and I also suck for not keeping up with DW like the rest of you.

I might just be lazy for not searching the board hard enough, but I was just curious about the union's thoughts regarding the new Dynasty Warriors (DW7) coming out next month. Anyone excited for it? Who's planning on buying it as soon as it gets out?

first of all

I will be buying it for sure. I think it will be great! I'm guessing you don't know too much about it so I'll just summarise my reasons for buying it.

 1. The story goes on after wu zhang plains and includes the Jin faction

2. there is online multiplayer

3. there are more characters than ever

4. apparently there will be many more stages thatn DW6

5. music sounds great

6. cutscenes in the game are blended into the gameplay

7. a lot of characters have their old weapons back

8. we will get DLC costumes for all the characters which will be their dw4/5/6 costumes. For FREE!

9. YOU control siege weaponry

some bad news includes:

1. there are a lot of clones in this game =[

2. the graphics are not so great and there seems to be quite a bit of pop in

3. every character can equip any weapon, which can be a + or - but I think a negative beacseu it removes character individuality

4. AI still seems to be quite dumb

5. the game isn't out for another month and a half =[

i'm gettin it. i have a gift card from Gamestop and everything ready to GO!!!!!

i'm pretty excited about the return to combo attacks. i'm also excited because it appears the game designers are listening somewhat to the gamers and trying to make the game good again.

there'll be a PC version soon enough most likely.

BTW, I just noticed that jefff and bruno are the same level and mits and I are the same level =D. pumbli.....you're way out of our leagues lol.

Oh and it will only come out for PC after aaaaaaaaaaaaages. Even then, none of us will be able to play with you online jeff. Next gen consoles are great for a lot of stuff, not just gaming! Try get a PS3 if you can! They are a lot cheaper now and eeven better value if second hand.

if the game is truly good and they offer some special content in the PC version i would consider getting it as well. i skipped on DW6 cause the extra content just wasn't worth it.

How is the online multiplayer going to work work?

I want to, but somehow I have to convince a friend to split the cost with me because I don't have a 360 or ps3. Once the price goes down (in a few months or so) I'll probably be able to talk him into it.

As for me, I would love to get DW 7 on it's release date, but as many have already said, funds are a little low.

I'll have to wait till the price drops a little... But at least I'll get to see what some of you think of it before I buy it.
