Has anyone you know well been banned or suspended lately?

Seems like a topic to talk about right now since a lot of users are getting the banhammer crushed upon them or the suspension slip handed out.

Lately I noticed SSBFan got banned. While he wasn't exactly my friend but I knew him for a while and he was appearantly banned. I noticed sonic__323's blog tell us about it and with all the bans going around, I think someone you know may have gotten banned/suspended.

So, anyone know anyone who's been hit by the banhammer?

And I have seen countless users banned lately, but so far none I know well.

Though PMF did get suspended a while back. But that's old news.

In fact, new users are being banned for spamming. Okay, at least let them off with a warning and maybe a suspension, but a ban? To a new user? That's kinda ridiculous.Cloud_765

Like in droves. I'll go find new users on the Nintendo boards and a lot of them are banned for creating the wrong topics or spamming once. Which normally nets you a warning, point loss, or in cases of higher leveled users, a suspension.

I've seen that happen. I went to the Nintendo boards recently to find 3-4 users banned that just joined (Level 1 or Level 2, maybe a level 3) and they posted spam or something that would normally get a warning first time around, and I go to their profile and they're banned.

That's a good point. They could be ban dodgers. But when you see this increase in banning going on, can you really say EVERY SINGLE moderation/suspension/ban is deserved? It's summertime. The mods are ticked. Not every time they mod someone will it be fair.Cloud_765

And remember they take their time when it comes to banning people. They look at the moderation history to see if it is about time to ban someone. For new users they ban faster yes, but that is due to a lot of new users are users we simply don't want here. horgen123

Can you get banned from GameFAQs and not here? Because I was moderated 3-4 times each on two separate posts there and I was only moderated twice here.
