Yep, it does look ALOT like ALTTP but I cant help but to want it sooooo bad. I plan to import it day 1.

It's a homage to classic 2D action adventure games, it will/does resemble Zelda, but a lawsuit is too far.

Oh From SoftWare's 3D Dot Hero. I doubt it but do see a lot of fanboys going on about how Sony copied Nintendo. Even though the game isn't even being developed by a Sony team.

A lot of people seem to think From Software is a first party developer these days. :s

I've seen some pretty dumb lawsuits, this at least is somewhat debatable.

I like the whole "lego" and "3d/8-bit" art-style..and i'm sure the game might be fun..but anyone thinks for a second this isnt a rip-off of zelda is clearly lying to themselves.

Not a single thing in that violates any copyright. It is very similar to, and obviously pulls much inspiration from ALttP, but its still an original work.

Sure it resembles it, but that's understandable, it pays homage to all 2D adventure games, personally, it looks amazing and it's a shame It won't be coming to the PC. :(tagyhag

I wasnt talking about the 8-bit artstyle..I actually Like the graphics/art. but Look at the video..you don't think that the gameplay is maybe alittle too similiar to zelda?

This game will probably be good..but that's irrelevant to my point which is if they're not careful nintendo will go after them.

Unless it's impossible for them to win.

If it comes to NA, then I haveanother reason to get the PS3. I think it great that it reminds me of A Link to the Past, since I love that game so much. However I wouldn't really call it a Zelda ripoff. I think they are trying to make it like a 8-bit game that has Dragon Quest/Zelda/Old-school RPG elements.

Yah, the sword, the falling rocks off death mountain, the boomerang, the item-get animation, the jumping spiders, the hopping stone statues, the charge ability, and the chickens are ripped straight out of Zelda. Mainly Zelda: A Link to the Past

But I'd still buy it if I had a PS3. The music is good.

While that may be true, I don't care. Zelda games get cloned so much,its just a regular thing to see it. This one just copies it much much much much more. It could probably be called a clone. But is that such a bad thing?

So we should have stopped all the Doom clones back in the day? What about the GTA clones? They are paying homage to the cIassic 2D 8-bit adventure game. Be glad they are making a title similar to 2D Zelda, because we haven't seen one like A Link to the Past for quite some time from Nintendo.

They should be allowed to continue. Just because they pull inspiration from a title they like, and don't purposefully plagiarize elements (they are not violating any copyrights from what I saw in the video, and being similar to something is not grounds for breach of copyright), doesn't mean Nintendo should throw a massive suit at them and tell them what they can and cannot do.

Shadow Complex is quite the blatant rip-off of Super Metroid when it comes to gameplay... but I don't see anyone complaining. The last major game like it was Metroid: Zero Mission released in 2004. Its about damn time they release more great cIassic-styIed games.

Don't you have a DS or gameboy advance? Well unless you want big screen. I got LttP SNES for 15 bucks, so worth the buy imo.
