YouTuber TotalBiscuit has innoperable cancer.

Well, I don't know if there is really a right way to tell people this, so I guess here goes. The CT did not come back negative. The cancer in the bowel is gone, but spots have appeared in my liver. They're not operable and there's no cure. Average life expectancy is 2-3 years, though there are outliers that live much longer. I'll be back on chemo in a few weeks, with the goal of pushing it back and keeping it there for as long as possible. I fully intend to be the outlier, the average is this way because most people that get this are old and not strong anymore. Who knows what they'll come up with in the next decade? I intend to beat it for as long as possible. Gonna need some time to process all of this. I don't really feel anything right now. Thanks.

My knowledge of liver is pretty minimal. Can he get the liver removed completely and get a transplant? Or has the cancer metastasize in other places?

Sad news. The amount of shit in this world is just never-ending.

Physically he could probably do it. Though it's not realistic because he would be very low down on the donor list because the new liver would be for someone who has cancer (Total Biscuit), versus someone who may not have as threatening a disease (or any disease). A hospital sadly would probably see it as a waste of a liver to him, because of the risk of cancer.

I hope he can fight it, I don't really pay attention to him, but it sounds like he's a very popular guy and well liked. I wish him luck.

Unfortunately, cancer that has moved from one location to the other is often nigh-impossible to beat. Once it starts moving, it's often ready to move into any new place it can (if they treat the liver cancer, months down the road, it could pop up again in his lungs or whatever).

I'm just glad his attitude is the right way 'round. Nobody should just up and surrender themselves to a disease. Granted, there is always the thought of the inevitable, but no one should ever entertain it, even if it is considered "hopeless".

Livers can be transplanted entirely. It's dangerous, compared to kidney transplants and such, but sectioning a small portion of a compatible donor's liver and transplanting into the patient is done often. The problem in TotalBiscuits case is that he has cancer. Transplanting would expose the donor liver to the spreading cancer cells. Radiation/chemotherapy, and immune steroids are the best treatment options when a tumor metastasizes.

I'm praying for him and his family, whether he beats terminal cancer or not.

I say Total biscuit should try Hemp oil REAL!! hemp oil I mean even if you believe it can help him or not if it's this serious why not give it a shot?

Sorry to hear that lawlessx. I know we all(me) joke around on here about of all stupid things video games, but I honestly wish your father good luck and that he can get rid of cancer completely. I know first hand what it can do to a family and to have to go through it.

This news is extremely depressing to me. There's nothing worse than to live on a borrowed time knowing you may die any moment.

A great German film (although Dennis Hopper stars in it), The American Friend, is about that.

I don't care what he does for a living. This is someones loved one. This is just another reminder to live everyday to the fullest and don't pay attention to the negative things in your life. Life is too short. Judging by biscuits posts he knows what he's doing. Stay positive and continue to make your mark my friend.

This sucks, cancer is so horrible. My aunt died a few years from it, my cousin had it (hopefully it doesn't comeback). Total Biscuit is a hue part of the gaming community, hes makes wonderful youtube videos and awesome podcasts. Thoughts are with his faam, FU Cancer.

If anyone knows anyone else who has cancer, please inform them to look into alternate cures instead of chemo. I've never see anyone that I know personally survive from chemo. Best bet is to look into Baking Soda cures and Hemp Oil, bitter melon, etc. spread the word

Didn't like him very much but unfortunate; bad shit for anyone to get, can't deny how influential he is for pc gaming as well as "new media" in general.

His pc coverage and knowledge makes major gaming websites look like shit in comparison.
