I like Mario 3 and Yoshi's Island better than everyones fave 2D Super Mario World.
Mass Effect 3 is easily the best of the trilogy
Naughty Dog is the most overrated dev currently
A new Kameo would be better than a new Banjo
Nintendos' last truly great game was Metroid Prime: Echoes
Forza 5, Starfield and Perfect Dark have a good chance to be the new 3 GOTYs
Red Dead Redemption 2 made Lems totally adore walking sim movie games like it was what they secretly wanted all along.
Console Zelda has not been great since Wind Waker. Link's Awakening remake and Link Between Worlds were good.
Agreed, except I enjoyed Twilight Princess. I'll add to that, that BOTW is one of the most overrated games of all time.

What? Wasn't expecting that from you.

Just being honest. I love Zelda games, but I just can't get into BOTW. And I've given it many chances.
I've had a lot over the years on SW. Some of the good ones that seems to work like a charm:
Just some off the top of my head 😄

Was always under the impression this was common sentiment.

I prefer Yoshi's Island over SMW too.
@Miyomatic: soul games too hard for you?
He is more into asscreed, so i'll let you guess.
- Console exclusive games should come to end. All games need to be on every platform, from Mario to Halo. This would be a win win for the consumer. With one console you could access every game, and it would make the hardware better as people like Nintendo couldnt hide behind their software with lame hardware. It would make hardware more powerful, cheaper, and faster changing.
- Every new console generation has been better then the last.
- 3D graphics ruined the RTS genre
- Steam needs to be available on consoles, with full mouse and keyboard support.
I really have to ask if many of the opinions expressed by posters on this thread are actually controversial. While asking which system is "better" attracts heated debate (which controversial topics often attract), I do not remember, for example, that advocating that all games be available for every platform attract heated debate. Why so?
Breath of the Wild is a 6/10 game that doesn't sell 200k copies if Zelda wasn't on the box.
Make this man president.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is nothing more than a mission pack for SMG 1.
Seriously, this pisses off non-Nintendo fans too for some reason.
Not untrue, I don’t know why that would piss people off. Mario Galaxy is, fundamentally, structured like mission packs.
Gatekeeping can be a good thing. As in, let's not expand our audience by including people who think lootboxes are gameplay.
@hardwenzen: Woah there, slow down lil buddy. Don't you put that on me. I'm more of an asscreed hater than you are.
Good luck with that.

I did not like the wolf mechanic of TP. Never could get into SS because of the terrible controls and graphics and learning the gameplay is very handholding. BotW is not even a Zelda game to me, and as I've never had a real interest in RPGs like Skyrim or Fallout, it always seemed terrible. Tried it for a few hours on Wii U when it first came out and haven't touched it since.
@hardwenzen: I mean it. I often stroll the aisles of my local stores and buy any copies I see, so that I can burn them all in a fire later and prevent others from making a regretful purchase. But only when the games are on sale.
When a new asscreed launches, I go to the closest GameStop midnight launch and fight the people in line. I'm actually posting this from jail and hoping to be released in time for the next asscreed release.
I find the game to be boring and uninspired. It's like they just put you in a game and said make your own fun.
lacks focus too me. maybe number 2 will be better.

lol he's not giving you the full story.
Because he feels it's a mission pack rather than a sequel, it's somehow an unworthy game. Not as good as the original. At one point went as far as to put it down as the weakest game in the franchise... even though it just builds and improves on a game he really likes?
Thats the stuff that irks people about his take.
Nintendoboy reasoning.
- Bioware’s last great game was Hordes of the Underdark
-Bethesda’s games are unplayably boring and easy without mods
- Modern Mario games are also too easy to be more than mildly entertaining
- The Switch is an awful console that’s too big to really be a handheld, has an awkward crampy control scheme, and is woefully weak for being made in the 2010’s. Jaggies in 2017, really Nintendo?
-AAA titles in general are boring and/or too easy due to their focus on mass market appeal
It has always been my contention that the ending to Mass Effect 3 was great.
ME 3 was for me a 10/10. It was the most epic game in the trilogy and on top of that shipped with an amazing multiplayer mode that was an unanticipated but incredible addition to the game.
As for the ending I had no preconceived notions for what it should or should not be. It's boring to have such expectations IMO and so I thought the game was great from beginning to end.
Playstation and Nintendo are better than Xbox.
So, you believe the cow mantra. How is that controversial?
People think Xbox is better than Playstation. My views differ :)
Sara Ryder from Mass Effect Andromeda is actually kinda cute, and the rage-bater freakout over her appearance was the most overblown "controversy" of the whole GamerGate era.
Twisted Metal 2012 is the best game in the series.
SSX 2012 is the second best game in the series.
The only real problem with Skyward Sword is that it's too similar to OoT. A few other minor issues, but otherwise, great game.

Yeah agreed. BOTW was too big and empty for me, and ended up feeling like a chore. I much prefer the past Zelda games that were more linear and focused.
@hrt_rulz01: I played a few Zelda games and it felt that the old games was more "cosey". BOTW was big just cause. Most of the experiences were standard sandbox mechanics or "look what I can do". I expect BOTW 2 continue along that path. 😥
Yeah agreed. I just hope that all future Zelda games don't follow the same formula. Not everything has to be open world 😒
I believe multiple pieces of hardware in a service based industry is ridiculous.
I don't believe propriatery hardware is good for consumers in any way any longer.
Also, uncharted sequels are a disservice to Sony fans and naughty dog as a talented developer. It's such a dreadful gameplay set with so much cinematic filler.
This may be unpopular here, but if smart tvs could have game pass, Microsoft would absolutely dwarf the industry at this point. The general public would eat that up. We just need better bandwidth to make it happen.
