I can see MS going with this price it's 2TB the 1TB are already more then $500 so that makes sense and 4K Blu-Ray is more expensive under the hood, some are saying this was the big surprise out of the MS conference, MS must be sweating right now, there surprise is least 21 hrs before their conference.
Edit: The cool part on this upgrade is the fact that it's sitting vertical now which was the most complaints back during Xbox One development that everyone wanted to sit there console up vertical.

I think MS has more surprises, more importantly: game announcements;
And I do think these pictures look very real, but I also remember every E3 before this there are pictures like this going around, that turn out to be fake.
So take it with a grain of salt :)
I'm probably in the minority here but I'm tired of system manufacturers releasing different versions. Do they want us to buy them at launch or not?

I'd be surprised if this is more than $350 maybe $300. The point of slim consoles is to get the costs down.

yes but it has a 4k blue ra player and that isn't cheap to get

I don't really understand it (introducing slim) and then still trying to press for more money at $450 with this unit.
We all know MS has full plans to upgrade to a newer model with more power next year so are they just trying to screw as many customers as possible by trying to get people to invest in a more expensive bone only to jumps ship with a totally new hardware model next year?
If they truly plan to go thru with this slim and at $450 no less you can bet they won't say a word about Scorpio at their conference. Perhaps this slim model has some type of hidden power or upgrade we aren't aware of yet, if not then that's a pretty shit deal no matter how you look at it.
You beat me to the thread so I'll abandon mine and carry on here.
Looks ok if it's the actual slim. Would of preferred the original colors and look in a smaller size. The power brick if actually in the console is really good.
Wonder if the controller is actually any different with the rumors of it too being upgraded.
Not something I would buy to replace my fat One but nice for the people looking to buy one.

Yeah this is all but a grain of salt but then again, E3 has already started before we get to the main event tomorrow so leaks are bound to happen.

Not at all. These upgrade consoles are just optional, like last-gen, these upgrades are not gonna have just exclusive games for it, this is just something to consider should anyone wanted Neo or this Xbox One upgrade. I'm totally happy with my launch PS4 so I don't need Neo.
so the scorpio is just the slim? to me it doesn't look much slimmer at all
Scorpio is just a rumour anyways, for all we now MS might not even have a xbox 1.5 / 2 planned for this gen.
The Scorpio is rumoured to be revealed next year. The Scorpio and the XB1 slim are 2 different things just to be clear.
Apparently the 3 big announcements MS had for E3 were:
Xbox One Slim
Dead Rising 4
Helix - unification of Windows 10 and Xbox One (basically everything going multiplat, probably cross buy too)
@davillain-:
So much pre-E3 news/leaks:
Yooka-Laylee, Watch_Dogs 2, Dead Rising Screenshots, Recore screenshots, Halo Wars screenshots, ...
But just like every year Sony can keep a tight lit on everything :P

They hype you up so you are dying to buy one at launch, knowing all to well that launch hardware is more expensive, more prone to issues ... and worst of all you got a pathetic library when buying at launch.
Still you get suckered in every time, because it's just so damn exciting to have new hardware launch, the prospect of a new gen, new games, new experiences.
They know what they are doing :P

Knowing Phil, he's trying to get people excited with 4K for the most parts, Xbox One already plays Blu-Ray, 4K isn't cheap nowadays, 2TB on the other hand can buy separately for a low price then what MS is asking for.
In short, I wouldn't bother with this new upgrade cause there really isn't no killer app exclusive games to play it. MS could've use that money to invest new exclusive games.

Stop whining, no one has to buy it so how are they screwing anyone? It's simple, if you have a 4K tv and want to watch things in 4K then it will entice those people to buy it, if you don't have it then it really doesn't matter cause it's no different than the X1 now so you don't buy it. If you want the upgraded X1 then you just wait until next year and get that one but they aren't screwing anyone cause you don't have to buy it if it doesn't appeal to you.
Looks like what would one expect from a smaller XB1.
Pricing will be everything with this I think. They definitely need to hit a sweetspot to start selling on par with the PS4. What that sweetspot is? No clue. 99$, 149$, 199$, 249$, 299$+game(s)...any of these might work, MS will need to figure out that themselves I suppose.
That thing looks freaking beautiful. But it shatters my hope that they would use the slim as a entry point into the W10 ecosystem. I was hoping they could price it around $199 or $249 at the most. The higher HDD kinda shatters my theory.
Not buying those pics. I just held my elite controller up to my console and it measurers the same. I can wait until 12:30pm tomorrow
@Pedro: looks smaller. Look at the controller relative to the size of the console. Neogaf also says no more power brick lol.
This console looks good but I already have an xbone and I never play it.
neat design, though I think could be fake, and the controller was supposed to be a new redesign so it could just be a fake
I still wouldn't get, I'm fine with my current one, don't have a 4K TV and my 2TB external has been more than adequate for storage needs, I'll replace my current XBO when the Scorpio releases
I don't want that weak ass box but I will take the controller!
Edit: Well damn, if it has 4K and HDR playback capability this is kind of a no brainer...
Looks sharp...hopefully Gamestop will have a good trade in program for this one like they did the 360 Slim. I ended up trading my old 360 pro and some other crap and paying like $25 difference to upgrade to the 360S. Anyway day one for me. Hopefully they start selling them right after E3 like they did the 360Ss.

@cainetao11: I just did the same with my X1 controller, it does look like the same size. Just when I was starting to like this design too. ;\
I kind of hope this turns out a fake though, I'd like for there to be at least a few surprises that don't get leaked.

Got ya I don't care about hardware though. I wasn't buying anything new until 2018 at least. New PC upgrades this fall for me.
Would be attractive if we didn't already know that the Xbone 2 will be released next year.
Where did they say they were going to released a new xbox? please don't tell me rumors
