[QUOTE="tccavey2"]That's really nothing new. The Wii, PS3, and PS2 were hard to find as well. Hmm, this brings opportunity. For the 360 I was 3rd in line with a family member taking the 4th spot, I actually sold that 4th spot for $300 lol.ahh Classic M$ pulling the savy "less units/higher desirability" scheme.

having yield issues with Xbox One components and that it may cut its initial planned shipments of the console from 7 million to 6.2 million.
wait, wait, wait... does that read that Microsoft is trying to sell 6+ million consoles? By when!?

Those numbers are MUCH larger than what I thought they would aim for.maybe this is actually them moving the release date forward?
are there any places where the xbones are sold out? i got an email from a shop here in the uk that still has some left.

Those numbers are MUCH larger than what I thought they would aim for. That's absurd. Historically consoles have sold less than a million at launch and 1-2 million their first holiday quarter. I think for the first time they may not sell out at launch. Ps3 didn't sell 10 million until it's 3rd year on the market, 360 didn't sell that much until it's 4th year, and those were numbers for the ENTIRE YEARThose numbers are MUCH larger than what I thought they would aim for.[QUOTE="R3FURBISHED"][QUOTE="ManatuBeard"]

I'm expecting both consoles to reach 100 million units sold in their lifetime, but 15+ million units in one and a half months? That sounds ridiculous, to me.

Pre-orders in ALL launch countries are sold out for both consoles (launch day stock). Its not hard to believe that all stock will go on day one (and possibly the 2nd restocking will all be sold long before it arrives)

Why did you even reply to me then. My comment was in regards to MS 6+ million forecast and Sony expected 10+ million on launch day...Apparently not. https://mobile.twitter.com/majornelson/status/372424213128159232?p=vfreedomfreak

Even then it's still a lot. 10 million is an entire years worth of sales.Yeah, we should go with China's Economic Daily News. That's bad news, so a win for us fine gamers.freedomfreak
It could be true, the consoles are most likely made in China.

Major Nelsol
That story is completely untrue..
The xbox one delayed in 8 countries and MS confirm yesterday that the chip was hard to make....
Thats the first official word from Microsoft as far as I see it.
It could be true, the consoles are most likely made in China.R3FURBISHEDCould very well be. I just find it funny how quick people are to dismiss an official statement. True or not.

That's still a big number
Not really.
There still will be xbox ones sitting on store shelves and will be easily availible online. So them shipping 6.2 or 100 million it doesnt matter because it wont sell through, or be out of stock anywhere longer than a couple days.

I was working in a huge electronics shop inside a shopping center when the PS2 was released. All units were gone in 1 hour (about 300units). It took 2 weeks to get restock, and everyday we had LOADS of people coming in asking for it. If we had 1k units, we would have sold them all in that hour.
With the growth of console gaming, i have no doubt that each shop will manage to sell 2k units in the 1st day, not counting pre-orders (the big shops).
I dont know...PS2 only sold about 1.4 million it's first quarter out. You had so many people checking your store, because every other store was sold out as well. If every store had 1k units, there would not have been as many people looking around. The difference between 1.4 million and 10+ million. It's a sale for them if the distributor bought them. I never understood this argument. They can ship as many as they want. Doesn't mean they will sell.

"The Xbox One features an eight-core 1.6GHz processor, 8GB of RAM, an 800MHz graphics processor"
That should be 853MHz GPU.
So it's got a 1.6 GHz CPU? PS4 is said to be 2 GHz.
Interesting, but then again they got the GPU number wrong.
