So Playstation gets a 90+ game in 2 days.

Xbox has 3 in the past 12 years - Forza Horizon 3, Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5.

I'm so glad I ditched the Xbox. What a horrible 3 gens of having nothing worthwhile to play it's been. I watched everyone else play fantastic PS games for 20 years while I occasionally played halo and Forza, two of the worst franchises in history. Buying a ps5 was like walking up from a nightmare.

Truly heart-breaking stuff.

I don't have that $600 gimmick add-on, (most of us don't), so those don't count. Especially when they are just patches.

PlayStation dropped 2x S-Tier (90MC+) blockbusters in less than 12 months and folks are still wondering why it's clobbering its main competitor.

As a PC gamer, its a good thing I never care for MC as it doesn't tell you the whole story if a game is gonna be good for you or not.

That's really cool of you to go there and look that up. I am no xbox apologist, but I guess since the critics didn't like some of the games I have enjoyed, I must be wrong about liking them. Anyone who needs justification from a critic to like a game is just sad.

Critics said I should love Horizon ZD and FW, but I gave up on the first game after the first dungeon and have no interest in the sequel.

Critics said I should love Uncharted 4, but I thought it was the worst game in the series.

Critics said I shouldn't like Days Gone, but I thought it was better than a lot of Sony's other first party games including God of War Ragnarok.

Not everyone has the same opinion. There are a few reviewers who have tastes similar to mine and they are the ones I tend to listen to, if I listen to anyone.

Anyways, like I said, it was really cool of you to take the time to figure that out. Also, don't we use GS scores here since it is the GS forums we are on? Or is it only when it fits an agenda?

I like Steam reviews but wowza are many games scoring mixed these days:

Sonic Superstars, Pharaoh Total War, Forza, Starfield

All from big companies that you would think know what they are doing, all scoring mixed reviews.

Just for the record my GOTY isn't rated 90+ and yet I'd play it over any game released this year.

Xbox game library has been so bad since Halo 5 launched in 2015 that anyone that defends it must trolling.

GameSpot scores are more realistic. Metacritic scores re-enforces the notion that PlayStation exclusives are the best thing since sliced bread. But the over hype then ruins reality, which is, actually they're no better than any other game out there. Also metacritic is fluffed with all sorts of reviews from newspapers, IGN and other shit no one cares about or trusts.

In the last two years out of 4 PlayStation games, three scored 8s and one a 9. In 2021 ALONE MS released three 9s and a 10. MS just released another 9.

You can hide behind all kinds of parameters that allow you to sleep better at night, but does not change the fact that MS releases great games.

Psychonauts 2, FH5, Halo Infinite, Deathloop and now FM. You guys can cling to exclusives all you like, rub yourselves off to metacritic to make yourselves feel good, but it's kind of pathetic. The rest of us will just play great games.

This isn't a surprise. Why do you think regulators allowed them to spend 80 billion dollars the past 4 years to buy up companies? It's because they weren't competitive.

Metacritic is literally the average score the entire Industry gives a game. GS is simply one Website.

The reality is PlayStation releases far better games. There's a reason Microsoft was allowed to buy up two massive publishers. Because regulators didn't see them as competitive.

Now that could change in the next few years are even set early as next year but there is no denying Microsoft has got its ass handed to them this generation.

The FTC case got shot down because the judge believed Playstations quality IP's were ahead of Microsoft by like 8 to 1. The general consensus was Microsoft needed to buy up a 75 billion dollar publisher just to be competitive. That was after they spent 7.5 billion on Bethesda. In no realm of reality has Microsoft been able to keep up with Playstations exclusives. That could ( and most likely will change). But this generation and last generation MS has been getting stomped.

Regulators acknowledged it, even Microsoft themselves acknowledged it.

This was already common knowledge on here.

Not caring for them doesn't mean they're bad. You're simply furious at them because you can't play them AND they're significantly more impressive than what Microsoft offers. I mean, just look at Spiderman2 as an example. This game on its own has more unique animations than every Xbox exclusive since the release of the Xbone.

You deserve better, but that's not what Microsoft thinks, which is sad, and a bit cringe tbh.

Cuphead and the 2 Ori games all launched on Xbox One and PC first before they went to other consoles. I don't really care if they didn't score a 90- much more appealing to me than a terrible sequel to The Last of Us, 2 new Spiderman games (which I really enjoyed playing on my Gamecube back in the day), and God of War selling it's soul trying to be a Last of Us clone.

Bloodborne and Demon's Souls are legit tho. I'll be getting a PS5 someday hopefully to play those.
