X360 or PS3: Which platform had the better collection of games this gen?

Well the 360 and PS3 have the same number of high-scoring exclusives, but on top of that the 360 has dozens of games it shares only with the PC, and also has a much better selection of downloadable titles.

So from an objective standpoint the 360 wins easily.

They both had about the same amount of games but the 360 collection is better in my opinion and it really isn't close.

It has the best shooters with Halo, Metro 2033, Gears, and Left 4 Dead. It had by far the better racers with Forza, Horizon, and PGR4. PS3 is also missing SC Conviction and Witcher 2. PS3 does not even have an RPG that is worth a play through. Fable 3 isn't that great but Fable 2 was awesome.

But the games I like people do not talk about much is the Alan Wake Series, Banjo, Kameo, and the XBLA games. I probably play those more than the bigger name titles.

The only exclusives I really cared for on PS3 was Uncharted 2, inFamous 2, and Kizzone 2's multiplayer. I thought Resistence 3 and KZ3's single player was good but the multiplayer was terrible.

As for Sony's PNS line-up it is Wipeout and Echochrome. I thought all the art house crap like Journey was boring.

The 360 did pretty bad this gen, just multiplats, arcade titles and Halo/gears/forza.

EASILY the PS3.

I prefer what the PS3 had to offer. More variety in my opinion.

Between just the 360 and PS3?

The 360.

More games, more high scoring games, more arcade/downloadable games, best online service (of the two), best multiplats 90% of the time, and so on.

Xbox 360

More games,Higher scoring games, More exclusives...etc...etc all around library is just better on the 360.

Dark Souls + Demon's Souls > Dark Souls.

On second thought I do like me some Halo, but I guess I'll never play it online so... maybe both, nah Demon's Souls is worth more than Halo(e?)s.

PS3 for me. It's a matter of preference though.

It really comes down to personal preference, I know Mass Effect is no longer X360 exclusive but it used to be and I also know that Skyrim is not an X360 exclusive but it doens't work on PS3 so it might as well count.

360, it may have less exclusives but they sure are worth it.

I don't have much expierence with the PS3, so that's not really fair. But then again, I'm not all that interested in PS3 exclusives, beyond Demon's Souls and Infamous.

ps3 offered more to me then 360. 360 basicly became my mass effect machine. When it RROD on me and mass effect was announced for ps3 I felt no need to buy another one.

As a owner of both I do say 360. Gears of War is the best trilogy of the generation. Halo is awesome. Alan Wake was awesome. There are many Arcade games not on PSN that are amazing.

I do love my PS3, but I play my 360 much more as I use it for all multiplats. The only exculsives I really really love on PS3 are God of War 3 and Uncharted 2, the rest I could of went without playing. I couldn't of missed Gears 1-3, Halo 3, Reach and 4, PDZ (when it came out), Alan Wake and Oblivion (being a year before PS3 got it).

They're both great and equal... 360 had some exclusive along many 360/PC only titles while PS3 offered imo a larger no. of different Exclusives...
