So what was the worse FPS game that's been released in the last four years? I'm sure there are some note worthy ones that came out recently or a few years back.

Duke Nukem Forever? Aliens: Colonial Marines? Maybe there was a terrible Painkiller sequel or two during that time frame?

I don't really play FPS games at all, so this is my honest answer. Not trying to hate on something popular, I really just don't have much to pull from here.
Killzone Shadow Fall.
It was the first game I played on a PS4 and the first FPS I tried in years. Disappointing on both fronts to say the least.
At least the games look good, but I'll never understand the hype for the series beyond that.

The raging that ensued whenever I rolled One Man Army and Danger Close with my noob tube was amazing. Grown men and women and young children alike were brought to the brink of insanity. Game was great.
I've tried to avoid bad fps games.
I really hated Dishonered. The games movements and teleportation effects gave me pretty bad headaches. Never had those before in any fps game. The blurry and dark graphics didn't help this either.
Its the worse fps game I've played in 4 years, but in more of a category of the most overrated also.
I put Syndicate fairly close to this also, the insane over use of bloom/hdr effects ruined the game. I lessened it a bit using sweetfx and turning down the upper gamma levels but you can only reduce it so much. Turning off bloom didn't actually turn it off fully either in the settings.
and also, any game that uses blur effects, or depth of field should be destroyed immediately. nearly unplayable with these enabled.
Hiding bad lazy graphics with bloom, hdr, depth of field, blur etc is lazy business. And hiding the option to turn them off should be punishable by death.
*** last one comes to mind is Halo 4, too much bloom effects, nearly burned my eyes out.
Not sure I've really played any in the last four years that I can whole heartedly say were bad. Even if I could I haven't played some of the famously bad ones like Aliens: Colonial Marines and DNF. I don't think I have a personally valid opinion on that.
The FPS I've enjoyed least in the last four years though would probably be Warface. The on'y reason I played it at all was because it was free to play and I wanted to get a few achievements. Everything about that game is unexciting and while a game like Medal of Honor(2010) was painfully generic, at least it's servers were in working order when I played it.
I might have mention Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, but there's probably merit to that games that I cou'dn't be bothered in finding. Sufficed to say I had absolutely no fun with that game, but I mainly rented it just to play it with my friends.
Alright, this is going to be a rant. Sorry in advance.
That freaking stupid as monkey fluff Spec Ops The Line game. Gosh freaking darn that game slobbered all over big green donkey phallus and worse yet it got up in your face about how gosh forsaken stupid it was.
Look, I am okay with art. You want to create some art who's goal is to convince people they should walk away? That is just fine. You however do not get to charge a sixty freaking dollar entry fee for the privilege of bearing witness to your abomination if that is your goal. Every other game in this thread at least tried to keep players engaged. Spec Ops actively tried to get them to turn off the game. That alone reserves it's spot as the height of worthlessness, but they aimed even lower. They rubbed the player's nose in how awful it was, and had the freaking gull to dream it's self profound for doing so.
There are side quests with more depth and complexity in Fallout 3 and New Vegas then a hundred Spec Ops cesspits (Mine town and Vault 11 spring to mind) and the garbage developers presumed to believe they carved a new path. Spec Ops The Line is the worst kind of hipster trash. That whole "enjoying something ironically" concept needs to die in a freaking fire. Stupid pseudo intellectual tripe.

Is not a first-person shooter. Therefore your rant is completely irrelevant.
