Yeah, I was also blown away in the game by the tact. nuke. My froces was at ground zero for that. It was pretty beautiful.

Good thing 360 gets this too im pretty pumped. the PC market is flooded with strategy games so its nice to see one that stands above the rest. it seems though that the PC can't hold onto any worthwhile exculives.

that's not the same as a fully featured offline skirmish mode. yes i do own it. i was a closedbeta participant too fyi.

Yep. It has more AAA exclusives since the launch of the 360 than all next-gen consoles.........COMBINED. Quite said if you ask me (for consoles that is).

i was...well maybe not 9.5, but about a 8.5-9.0...lol after playing the demo, even on my weak comp the graphics looked sick.... i cant wait for my new comp and a copy of this game in my hands...

skirmish mode is also online only from what i've heard - i haven't personally tested it yet though, but from what i've read you have to be logged in to massgate.

that gamepro review seems to confirm this. i'll check when i get home from work - but if this is true that really kinda sucks. means no skirmish mode on long commutes or flights on my laptop ;(

I did. Rule either means to control or dominate (which those three games do not do) or to be the normal circumstance or custom (which, as there are three of them against the huge PC RTS genre, they do not do either).

This game has been getting awesome scores, I read PC Gamer a week ago and it got a 93%, after reading the article I was convinced this was a GREAT game, not merely good.

Well there's really no context he could have used it in and have it be true. Had he said "360s RTS are great", there's no problem, that's a value judgement which doesn't assume as much (though in the context of a thread talking about a PC RTS it'd still be pretty clear what his intention was).

To use the verb 'rule' implies things about other platforms.

You can't pay $700 for something that you use for MANY other reasons other than gaming, the most important piece of technology over the past 20 years... but you can pay $400 (plus peripheral costs) for something that just plays games?

The money argument simply doesn't make sense. PCs are useful as something other than a gaming console, and they're STILL not much more.

Regardless of what the definition of rule means, I'm sure he meant it interpersonally and you can argue semantics all day long.. I don't see why you felt the need to combat him since no ones opinions are fact and his opinion on 360 RTS' is that they rule:)

This game runs like crap on my pc too. I had to go medium/high(ish) DX 10 to even get a decent frame-rate, being like 12fps. and I got a dual core and 8800gts... I can run CoH on high with AA on and DX10 :|Zaeryn

Most people didn't. The game wasn't even officially hyped. Looks like the 360 will have another "AAA" when it's released. Woot!!

The 360 version won't be inferior. LOTR:TBFM was excellent on the 360, so I'm sure WiC will do just fine.
