Will XBone sell 10m its first year like 360?

i think so. they plan to release in different regions and thats a boost edit: and i mean boost like 500k-to 1mil total in those regions. plus i think they are getting a price cut. E3 is right around the corner and there are more games in the works.

Let's speculate. 350,000 Xbones this month and next, a brief increase to 500,000 in June because of the price cut, 350,000 again after that until Nov/Dev with the big holiday spending = 3,450,000 Bones. Combine the 200,000 it'll get in its "tier 2 launch" and that's maybe 7,750,000 this year.

No it likely won't. If TitanFall couldn't even move 320k+ units in a single month, in its biggest territory nothing will prompt the Xbox One to 10 million units by November.

@blackace: so far PS4 is selling on average 1.4 million consoles a month. This is without any heavy hitter games.

1.4x12= 16.8 million consoles.

PS4 could very well sell 20 million if the holiday Season is included.

XB1 at roughly 4.2 million sold in 5 months.

Averages 840,000 sold per month.

8.4x12=10 million

Nope. 360 didn't have any competition, XBone doesn't have that luxury. It's getting it's ass kicked by PS4 worldwide and I don't see that ending anytime soon.

The WII sold 9 million in 5 months and was sold out for a full year. The PS4 isn't sold out anymore. The hype has died down a lot since launch. It's not selling over a million every month right now. I can see it hitting 14-15 million realistically if it has a strong holiday.

Well they already had their "Killer line up", only thing now that could boost sales is the price cut coming at E3.

I'm expecting both the PS4 and Xbox One to have really terrible summers though. I don't expect either to keep selling well throughout the summer. They won't pick up again until fall.

Not even a doubt it will sell the 1o million. The question is will it be ahead or behind the PauperStation4 by the end of the year.

It will not be ahead of the PS4. It is currently 2.5+ million behind. PS4 is at 7.3 million sold to people. The Xbox One is 5 million shipped to retailers.

Xbox One has shipped 5 million in 5 months. The launch is behind it which sold a ton and a Xmas. It will be most like to sell between 8.5-9.5 million. The PS4 is likely to reach 13-14 million by year's end.

The One has not even launched WW yet. Not only will it sell 1o million it will smash it.

Xbox 360 did not have any competition when it was released.

I dont think it can hit 10 million by end of year. Global economy plus the popularity of the cheaper PS4 will keep that from happening imo.

X360 did not sell 10M in its first year, so title and poll seem irrelevant.

The Xbox One is on pace to break 10 million but I am gonna say no. The games just aren't there. We should bring this up again after E3. Maybe Microsoft has a big holiday planned.
