Will Halo 5 be the best looking game on consoles?

It will look great like Bloodborne looks great but will not hold any so called crown. And it really doesn't need to. Look at The Odor. It may well be pretty but its a weak game. I'd rather watch an animated movie if looks are all it has going for it.

i thought advanced warfare looked better, the maps seemed kinda bland in the beta, they really need to hire some more ppl an get some extra details an stuff done

No doubt it will look amazing, like you said Halo 4 was one of the best looking last gen games, but probably not the best. I would focus on 1080p60, or at least 1080p at locked 30fps, which should be mandatory this generation.

That's a myth. Halo CE was one of the (if not THE) best looking game when it came out and Halo 4 was up to the best last generation.

No, Halo always had a cartoony look to it. Want best-looking? Go play TLOU Remastered. It doesn't mean Halo 5 will be any less awesome though.

As a pc gamer with both ps4 and xo, the last of us has the most impressive graphics for consoles. If anyone is going to make the game with the best console graphics it is NaughtyDog.

@PAL360: Mate, halo 4 is far from the best of last generation in terms of graphics. In terms of overall gaming experience? Sure.

Definitely true with the Bungie Halo games but Halo 4 was a looker.

Even if Halo 5 looked like Destiny I'd be happy. It being the best looking game isn't high up on my list of wants.

It won't even be the best looking xb1 game or even crack the top 3 on xb1 alone. It will however look decent enough to not warrant many complaints as far as visuals are concerned i'm confident. New TR has a better chance imo as does batman.

Judging by what 343 was able to do on 360 with Halo 4 which I consider the best looking FPS last gen. I'm going to say yes, Halo 5 will be 2015's both graphics king and game-play king. Whelp, then again, T10 and FM6 may have something to say about that. :P

I'd go as far as saying Halo5 may shock everybody, with people saying "that's not possible on the hardware" or "that isn't running on xboxone"

Hehe, yeah, I could see some here saying that after an E3 showing of some of the SP. we shall see, one thing's for certain, 343 has a lot to live up to and must be feeling the tons or pressure. Here's hoping they deliver. :D

Do I think it's possible that it will be one of the best looking games on consoles? Yes

Will it be THE best? Probably not because I think 343i is more focused on 60 fps now that MCC runs at that frame rate.

I'm surprised there aren't more maybes. We really can't know right now. Halo games have always looked pretty good, though. I don't recall any of them being "graphics kings" in my time...

COD AW on PS4 is 47-60 FPS and while isn't 1080p on Xbox One all the time its close and runs better. Plus the screen shots you showed look single player to me.

Halo 4 indeed looked great but I thought the gears of war games looked better than any halo game on the 360. It's not always about graphics though. I hope halo 5's gameplay is good. That's more important. Beta was fun so I can't wait for the full release.
