Do people really need both wii sports titles? MFDOOM1983They are both rather fun games

Might as well just save that 130$ for the Wii-U at this point since it's coming out in about a month..
lol @ people calling wii a rip off lets compare the 3s prices since day one
ps3-600 /500
360-300-400 at launch
wii 250
first price drops for ps3-400-500 less bc first 80 gig wave
360 remained at 400 at this time but a yr later went to 200 -arcade or core 300 -pro 400 elite pre kenict slim models mind you
wii dropped to 199,99 3 yrs later then soon 179,99 for new units then to 149,99 now their going to be 129,99
ps3 dropped swiftly but surely to 300 when slims came out then dropped another 50 then added 20 on to that fifty bringing ps3 at w a new slimmer model at 266
360 is
250 for gamestop only 300 elsewhere and 400 for bundles , and 200 for a 4 gig only model , so rip off? wii a rip off obviously not when in comparsion to an older xbox360 which sits at 200 has been since 09 minus a brief non existant 200 dollar slim , in 2011 i also forgot ps3 lost bc with its newer models and os support , and 2 less usb ports, all wii lost during its entire run was gc support , -you can still find wiis with gc support or just get a gc and a wii and it will still be cheaper thena 360 or ps3 , ,
i paid 8 bucks for a gamecube controller and cord , at a thrift shop , so add 8 plus 130 -thats 138 and you got gc and wii ,
so in worst case scenario find a used wii or buy a new wii and find a cheap gamecube , , simple as that and its not a rip off , again considering the fact the other consoles still fetch over 200 dollars this day and age with a new wii u coming for 300 and 350 respectivelly your hd twins will be looking more like a rip off in comparision
and thats not even factoring xbox live costs , buying a game seperately (2 bucks for pd0 or 1 00 for some crappy sports game) yea i went with the cheapest possible option , for idiots that bought the 4 gig ----better pony up $130 for that 360 you just bought because youll empty 4 gigs in a second , just by playing a game or 2
and netflix you want netflix pay an additional 10 bucks plus the xbox live costs cheaper on wii and ps3 as their is only 10 bucks for netflix
with wii there are no prolonged costs , in the long run such as multiplayer , thats all free, if you dont like online theres also split screen which si nearly dead on the hd twins
so you must factor these in when calling wii a rip off !
I think they are trying to win the SW metagame. You know the incredibly stupid one in which number of sold consoles is the deciding factor.SushigluttonBut they already won that. By like 40 million consoles. :? On topic, I am little surprised that it's still more than $99 with the Wii-U on the horizon.

So your argument is thinnest kid at fat camp.
If it wasn't for Wii U backwards compatibility I would pick one up. Can't wait to play through all the Wii titles I've missed.
[Quote="Destructoid"]
Are you not sold on the Wii U yet? Did you miss out on a pre-order opportunity? Nintendo has you covered, as it's slashing the Wii's price down to a record low $129.99, and includingWii Sports Resorton top ofWii Sports(on a single disc).
You'll also net the Wii Remote Plus (which has Motion Plus built in) and a nunchuk to go along with your black configuration Wii. This package will replace theNew Super Mario Bros. Wiibundle, which is kind of a bummer. The package will be available on October 28th in the U.S. If you haven't picked up a Wii yet and have no plans to get a Wii U (which has backwards compatibility), do it. There are atonof uniqueexclusivesyou've missed out on, and now is the time to act!
charizard1605
I guess at that price, it's a justifiable purchase It did have a few gems that absolutely should not be missed, so if you missed out for any reason at all, now would be the chance to get a Wii and catch up on those games.

I wouldn't buy a Wii if it was $50.
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2
Paper Mario
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Skyward Sword/Twilight Princess
Xenoblade
Last Story
Monster Hunter Tri
Metroid Prime Trilogy/Other M
What other Wii recommendations can you guys make for someone looking back at this gen now?
[QUOTE="Fizzman"]I would pay 50 bucks for a Wii. 129 is too much.
PSP107
Should be $50 at this point. JohnnyCageMKI have to agree with this. I had my cousin's wii since spring 2011 and the total time I spent on it was maybe 5 hours. I do plan on finishing New Mario Wii.
That's kind of crappy for you, I spent 73x that amount of time playing just monster hunter lol.
I was going to get a Wii of my own at one point, but nobody I know would enjoy it with me.
That's still the case now, and also the Wii U is coming soon anyways.
Exactly what I've been noticing. Some people in this thread make me giggle like a schoolgirl..
$70. Lol.
$50 Lol.
$5 specs. Lol

Unless if they have interest in Wii and not a Wii U (just like how there was interest in N64, but not GameCube or there being more interest in GameCube than Wii, it's a cycle in Nintendo consoles).Might as well just save that 130$ for the Wii-U at this point since it's coming out in about a month..

Probably refering to the backwards compatible ness of the WiiU with the Wii. I personally am pumped to be able to play monster hunter from my bed :P

Backwards compatible or not, it still happens.[QUOTE="ActicEdge"][QUOTE="nintendoboy16"]Unless if they have interest in Wii and not a Wii U (just like how there was interest in N64, but not GameCube or there being more interest in GameCube than Wii, it's a cycle in Nintendo consoles).

Backwards compatible or not, it still happens.Sure, I wouldn't say differently :P Just that around here it would make more sense for people to wait considering they will be able to play wii games on the WiiU pad plus get the extra clarity that the HDMI hook up will add to Wii games.

Punch-Out!!
Sin and Punishment Star Successor
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Even with the pricecut, it seems like a downgrade to me when they replace New Super Mario Bros. Wii with Wii Sports Resort and Wii Sports.
