I never did understand why it was hyped as AA, let alone hyped at all. I refuse to accept ownage on behalf of any fool who hyped crackdown, as I saw it for what it was: a chance to play halo 3. This is not damage control either, but is there any other 360 owners like me who honest to god did NOT hype crackdown?
Yeah I never thought it looked any good...and the only fun part of the demo was jumping around for those agility boosts. And that can only last so long.
And some morons mentioned it in the same breath as GTA. Ridiculous. The game is a vehicle for the Halo 3 BETA. End of story. MS wants a big post-holiday seller, so they attached the beta to a game that is nothing more than worthy of a rental.

I dont know anyone who hyped it, most people just found out about this game a month ago becuase they heard it was comming out with the Halo 3 Beta.

Most people hyped it AA including myself... I'm surprised though, I figured if saints row scores 8.6 then crackdown would be roughly in the same area.
Yeah I played the demo too, thought it was extremely polished and a technical achievement for a sandbox game.
Honestly though, GS doesn't care how much polish a game gets when the GTA series get straight 9.6s when they have had some of the worst technical issues I have personally witnessed in a video game.
The same reason some cows hyped games like Killzone. They don't look at the history of the developer making the game and get owned more often than not.
I thought the demo was pretty fun. Jumping around on buildings and shooting people was awesome. Apparently that was it for the game though, so really you could just play the demo over and over again and get the same experience. I never hyped the game here on these forums. But I probably would have called it AA like everyone else. Oh well. Hopefully they can add some DC, but I doubt it will happen.
I didn't. Why you gotta be making all kinds of accusations against me bro? I just said I found the game really fun, and I stick by that despite the Alphabet you throw at it.
I never hyped it. But I never liked GTA or Saints Row. I played those games, but I didn't like the combat, lack of polish, and scattered missions. I don't hype games unless I've played them. You never know how a game will turn out. I was cautious on Gears, too.

I found the demo a lot of fun, i thought it might get a high A but i was hoping for at least a AA.
look at the other reviews its not just a chance to play Halo 3.
Well if it makes you feel better I never hyped it either. But then again it's because I think the whole GTA sandbox thing is lame. Never liked a single GTA or any of it's spin offs. I know i'm in the minority though so I keep my mouth shut usually.

I "hyped" it as AA. I downloaded the demo, had a lot of fun with it and thought that AA was appropriate. 7.8 is pretty damn close to that but still off the mark so it flopped. Big freaking deal. Great, so I'm "owned" or something. I'll rent the game, if I still enjoy it after playing if for about 5 or 6 hours then I'll consider buying it.
It was the only flop i have seen on the x360, every game i hyped got it the right score. Crackdown i hyped it AA for sure, and it didnt get. Still on my gamefly list though. And cows have no room to talk there hole system is a flop.
