I trust Microsoft always. Customer Care is really nice and they replace any faulty products asap. Got my RROD Xbox 360's changed many times in few days time just after a call. Halo 2 CD Key not working in GFWL? Gives you a working CD KEY asap. MS Softwares as Windows or Mobiles giving problems? Get em new asap from MS Store.

Well? :)

It took Sony 2 months to fix my Ps3, because they forgot about it coming in. Was just sitting in a warehouse.

Nintendo and Origin are the best, Valve is the worst.

I'd rank them:

  1. Nintendo
  2. Origin
  3. Xbox
  4. PlayStation
  5. Steam/Valve

I have never had any problems with Microsofts customer service, cannot comment on SONY because i have not had a SONY console since the Ps1 and i have never had to call Nintendo because the only problem i ever had was with a third party Memory card for my cube.

You may want to look into being better at communicating grievances when it comes to support then.

If you've never had a good outcome that seems to fall more on you rather than the companies you call.

Nintendo has always been awesome with me. Nintendo fixes everything. Blizzard also is amazing, top notch service right there.

I should rephrase, I dont usually use customer service (I usually try to figure things out). The only times I do are for minor stuff that usually gets resolved, but its not like they did a spectacular job or a bad job, they just did their job...

Oh I understand.

That makes sense.

I guess you could put them in order of how knowledgeable and personable they were?

You always nail it correctly lol. No idea about Ninty as i never got anything from em, but Steam/Valve being worse is deffo correct lol. Even Uplay/Origin customer care are better compared to Steam :)

MS seemed okay on the PC side, usually with activating software. They've been cool with every explanation I've given so far.

Steam helped me move my games from one account to another almost a decade ago. Never needed to use their customer support since.

Back in the mid 90's, I had a Sony mini Hi-Fi component system that got stuck in headphones mode. Sony fixed it without question.

Other than the above, I've been fine fixing things on my own.

For consoles...

Microsoft is the best in terms of knowledgeable and courteous help that goes above and beyond when needed.

Sony is second, in my dealings with them they were knowledgeable and courteous and solved the problem. Nothing less nothing more.

Nintendo is last. Their staff is not well equipped when it comes to knowing about the products. They are very nice. Their support is awful but that's mainly because they don't do any of it themselves. They picked the lowest bidder and everything that needs to be fixed does not have the same quality as others. In some cases the item is worse when it comes back having many more low quality parts than when you started.

For PC...

Origin comes in first. They're mostly knowledgeable and what they don't know they will research and call you back. They're very nice. They go well above and beyond. They go out of their way to make things right as well as to try to compensate you for your problem.

Steam is second, they are matter of factly but they do what is needed. Another case of no more no less.

I've had good customer service with MS and with Sony. Had to exchange 2 360's and had very little trouble calling, getting it shipped and receiving it back in a timely manner. Same experience I'd had with Sony when I had to ship my PS4 in.

Can't comment on Nintendo, Valve or any other customer service.

Sony is actaully the best customer service I've dealt with with, very helpful replaced my ps3 with a new slim model when they didn't have to.

I won't bother with Sony again, mainly because consoles are not for me anymore, and if I was tempted by a console it would likely be Nintendo's offerings as it's content genrally not available on pc

The only games companies I've had customer service experience with are MS & Sony, and both were pretty good. But being mainly an Xbox gamer, I've had more dealings with MS over the years and find their service above average to be honest.

The few times I've had to call MS, and Nintendo they have been outstanding. Sony is great also, as long as you are not trying to get them to cover a repair on a product when it is just barely out of warranty. In that regard they suck. Even when it is a known issue. On normal day to day issues Sony is outstanding. EA was very helpful the couple times that I have had to deal with them. I've never really had to deal with Steam, Origin, or Ubi CS so I can't really comment on them.

Your results will really depend on who you get. I've had flat out awful service from MS and some very good, from Sony mediocre and excellent from Steam both times I've contacted them.

Shockingly enough....Origin/EA.

Every problem I've had with Origin or a game regarding Origin...they have been quick to fix it and they have fixed it.

No bullshit. Not like Steam where it takes 3 weeks to get a reply. Sony is just an average customer service...nothing bad and nothing special....as is Xbox/MS.

Never had to deal with Nintendo.

I think it's important for everyone to know that you are not stuck with the person who takes your call.

Asking to speak to someone else is always advised.

I never had any problems with Steam. They were always quite quick to respond (1-2 business days)

And in the two cases I asked for a refund, I got one within 30 minutes of asking for one.

Yeah pretty much, for all the bad talk I hear about steam support the only two times I ever needed to engage with them they responded the same day and the issues were solved on the spot.

Surprisingly Origin support is actually very decent nowadays.

I still remember the fun old days when EA support was sometimes literally gibberish.

You have not lived until you try and get money back from Sony
